of course, what´s the most used depends on the variation of Spanish you are using

@Braiam Do you actually have a ´ key on your keyboard?

@Undo Is that a bad thing?

@JasonC Without attribution, it's plagiarism.

12:11 AM
@Undo I approved it and his subsequent improvement stackoverflow.com/review/suggested-edits/7353236

@JasonC That's the tag wiki
Not the excerpt
Either way, it should be in a quote block or something

@Undo Ok, so, I approved it, and just proposed another edit adding the source. It's an accurate description of Modbus/TCP.

hah I have 4 more helpful flags than rep.

Why aren't there "improve edit" buttons on tag edits?

12:18 AM
@JasonC Because you get that at 20k.

Dammit, I guess I better start answering stupid C++ and Java questions again.
2

Hey, I have less than a third of your rep.

Curse you, system, for actually working and making me participate!

@JasonC I was using the spanish layout...

Oh word.
Do any of you guys use Atom and is "Atom is built on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with NodeJS and a modular system" an accurate statement?

12:21 AM
@JasonC why a programer should care?

Just reviewing tag wiki edits.
The "skip" button is a lot easier to click than the web site link. Next!

that's a boring tag wiki.

my version: Atom is a multipurpose text editor built around NodeJS. Questions about building Atom plugins should use this tag.

The editor just added that sentence; the rest of the entry is much longer, albeit equally boring.

12:24 AM
so... reject > not following the guidelines

I skipped it days ago.
That edit officially no longer exists in my world.

man, and here we wonder why people just don't read tag wiki's/exerpts

Q: how to paste code from android studio to word?

Hoang MyTuanI always copy code from IDE (ie:android studio,visual studio,...) and paste them to Microsoft word.But they lost style in word.I have to re-add all styles.It takes several times.Can you give me a solution? I'm using the word 2010.

lolwut

@Braiam Heh, well that has nothing to do with the contents of the tag wiki, and everything to do with the fact that most people inexplicably suck at taking in information, conceptualizing their own problems, and asking questions.

user259867
Wait, so atom is no longer an XML-based RSS competing thing?

This DaAwesomeP guy's been making some nice tag wiki improvements.
Guess he's on a mission.

Someone.. please cast the last reject vote on this

@JasonC well, you can't blame them if you don't even give the tools to self help themselves

@Braiam I can totally blame them. They have the same tools I have.

@LynnCrumbling trow me 20 rep and you are good to go

12:34 AM
@bjb568 Do you see any reason why its not? — David Grinberg 24 mins ago

@Braiam I have no idea what you are talking about

@JasonC no actually, the tools I'm refering to are those that define SO/SE topics, a third party shouldn't be used to define a topic you talk about in your site

sees as @Lynn gets it

(congrats on the new privs, btw.. I'm sure you'll do well with them.)
REJECTED
bows to @Braiam

12:36 AM
@Braiam I think our conversation just split into multiple realities. We seem to be talking about different things now.

I'd love to know who these idiots are that are accepting question content changes.

user259867
@Braiam Congrats! Now about those 150 posts in LQRQ...

@LynnCrumbling In the past when I've seen edit suggestions get accept votes that very obviously shouldn't have, I've flagged the post with a note. I have no idea if or how that's useful but they usually get marked as "helpful". Fwiw.

@JasonC Really? That's interesting. Do you know if any follow-up action is ever taken?

totally spam stackoverflow.com/a/13930761/792066, just wonder who the heck flagged as naa/vlq

12:41 AM
@LynnCrumbling I have no idea. I don't really even understand what kind of follow-up actions could be taken. The only reason I do it is because they got marked as "helpful", which is like a dog treat to me. I don't do it a lot though, just for the really bad ones.

or not...

@JasonC HAHAHA. I'm getting close to Marshal on SO, which is pretty exciting.

manual review ban... I think

Oh nice. I have no idea why helpful flags are so satisfying. I also direct a lot of anger at my declined flag count.

Morning!
in Java on Stack Overflow Chat, 5 mins ago, by Unihedro
Morning! I headed to school to find out it was a holiday, as said by the convenient store cashier lady. So at the school entrance I sneaked up to our loyal, hard-working janitor to ask him if it's a holiday. He responded yes, and I ran away before he realized I didn't know it was a holiday.

OMG, close call. Imagine what he would have done to you if he realized you didn't know it was a holiday.

You slept ~7h

Nice @Braiam

yay

@bjb568 :O
That's a lot
Even after @Inf woke me up
3

12:47 AM
:P

:D

@Unihedro I knew it!
~6.5h

Haha, I used to wake up at 6AM for grade school. Once I fell asleep after school and woke up at 6PM, but the lighting outside was about the same. I was kind of disoriented and started getting ready for school. My dad had the presence of mind to realize what was happening and started rushing me, telling me that I'd be late. He waited until after I showered and dressed to laugh at me. Most confusing evening ever.
I guess being a troll runs in the family.
7

XD

If I were you I'd wake up at 6 as usual.
Not hard to sleep 15h

12:49 AM
I typically rest < 5 hours. xD

Haha, I know, when I woke up I was like "holy crap, I must have been tired"

[discussion] Should this room be split into chatting and productive modding/discussion?

Me too, I like sleeping in two 4 hour shifts.

@bjb568 /meh-vote

12:51 AM
@bjb568 Aren't those two the same?

@bjb568 The latter half would be empty.

Oh
@hichris123 no

Anyways at best that would guarantee that both split rooms were 90% full of "please have this conversation in the other room".

@JasonC Yes.

12:55 AM
and went around downvoting a bunch of crappy answers and lost my 2k's :(
2

Pfft now go edit more posts

@Unihedro IIRC that was a room to house "I dislike this user because _________" complaints... which really shouldn't exist.

@hichris123 Isn't that for In Praise Of Moderators.
Eh, whatever. /confused

@bjb568 Nobody will stop you from creating a new room.

@Unihedro That's satire.

12:57 AM
@hichris123 Oh.

ahaha nevermind.

@JasonC @JasonC @Jason Doesn't matter if it doesn't get used.

Well if it's truly a good idea, then it will get used. Since it was your idea, it's up to you to promote it.

@JasonC @JasonC It probably won't stay alive long though, and that is kinda the factor against creating new rooms

@JasonC meh @JasonC
Promoting is hard @JasonC @Jason

12:58 AM
I just saw why that room was created. xD

It's not like you can bounty a room

Then discussion over, it's not a good idea.

It's probably going to get frozen before it gets the followers.

@Woodface I guess but from my experience with it, it's all about querying or searching data.

Q: How can I deal with no-socks situation at night?

user3143Our house is reasonably cold (and try to keep it that way) and so I insist that aside from summer, the kids wear socks; including for sleep. The problem is that they take the socks off - it seems like, in their sleep. BOTH of them. No matter what kinds of socks we get them - loose or tight. Shor...

What a difficult situation.

@SmokeDetector umm... interesting write, could be a legit answer :/

Yeah, what’s SmokeDetector going on about with that one? Is it because of the “Jesus” mention?

No, it's "shit".

Oh, I suppose that might do it.
People always tell me I can’t see shit. Guess they were right. :)
So many zombies.
@AndrewT. Tag wikis are something of a dark hole at SE. Not black, but pretty dark and dank and musty. There’s no easy way to patrol them, either.

In London back in the 1980s there used to be a home for physically disabled people which straddled the boundary of two London boroughs, one Labour controlled, and one (more leafy suburban) which was Conservative controlled. Approaching from the Labour side (I think it was Enfield) there was a sign warning traffic to Take Care, Disabled Persons Crossing. Approaching from the other direction the sign read Cripples Crossing. It caused some mirth in the media. — WS2 yesterday
