Patrick HofmanOriginating from this question on MSO (Question about the name of a software design pattern was deleted), we wondered why a specific question was deleted, which met all requirements for deletion, but had a bounty on it. ok - general network question: I know you get a +100 on other network sites one you've hit a certain amount (200) on your parent site. Is there an additional boost once you hit 10k or trusted (20k)?
@SPArchaeologist Edited title to reflect issue

@LynnCrumbling Nope - it's just 100 if you're 200+ on another site...

@JonClements Wonder if there's been a asked about it on se's meta.
@JonClements At the very least, a 20k user seems tantamount to the bbs days of a visiting sysop.

I don't recall seeing one. However, I think the idea is to just get you past the new user restrictions. Not to boost you to other privs - as by working your way through rep on the other site, you'll learning how the other community works etc... It'd be unfair to be a trusted SO user and then join another site and suddenly get full edit privs or something...

4:25 PM
@JonClements That's fair, especially given that some sites allow pseudo-subjective questions, and uses on [SO, SU, database, etc] may be unaware of that site's policy.

If for instance a trusted user came over from Sci-fi and fantasy - their vast rep related to Harry Potter probably doesn't make them suited to start closing my field of expertise on SO,,, :p
