I recall that Shog said that comments that start with -1 can be deleted by a single flag, or I'm imagining things

In a couple days erwaysoftware.com won't be registered with GoDaddy.
yay!

@Braiam Have you tried it? Some of those auto-nuke rules are SO-specific, like "what have you tried".

@UndotheSnowman Isn't Amazon evil too?

@Behaviour Transferring to Google

user259867
Also evil. Perhaps a lesser one.

11:19 PM
Use duckduckgo and apple and media temple.

@Behaviour Yeah, they're all evil

Not duckduckgo and apple and media temple!

user259867
@UndotheSnowman But seriously, is it as easy to use as EC2?

@Behaviour Just using Google as a registrar, going to point it to EC2 like it is now

user259867
Ah, I misunderstood, thinking you are moving from Amazon. Google has some sort of App Engine thing going on, but I never looked into the details.

11:21 PM
nah, I like AWS
And I like my low bills

@UndotheSnowman s/a couple days/6 to 8 units of time/

O_O pretty soon my parenting question will reach the 30 answer threshold and give alerts to people who dare insult SE by posting their story.

@UndotheSnowman namecheap seems to be the lesser one

Eh maybe

cv-pls stackoverflow.com/q/201912/1699210 IMHO spam collector

I don't like how both parenting questions paint parents as ignorant in programming, to the extent they can't even find out what it is that their child is so much interested in.

user259867
Maybe I should a 3rd question there: how do I get a 18-19 year old to understand that y=x+1 is going to throw an error unless you assigned some value to x previously?

I don't like the idea of parents pushing kids to write code.

user259867
Or at least not to be hopelessly confused by an error message about this happening.

ask in Root Access (SU room), the dog, the fox or all can give you more information (they were using godaddy)

Apple just gave my grandma a brand new iPad because hers started having cellular problems.
She had an iPad 2, now she has an iPad Air.
This is why I love Apple

So, we have a Meta reference post What is the difference between disputed and declined flags?. So outdated. Much confusion on math.meta, when someone refers to it for background info. Can someone knowledgeable bring it up to date?

I don't remember someone pasting this here, so...

Where's the meta post on making review decline flags instead of dispute?
Argh, can't find it.

@bjb568 This is somehow relevant: Your last flag was declined - but post closed, Brad Larson explains that 3-2 Open vote in Close review declines.

user259867
But I think any post we find is bound to be out of date, because Shog has since tweaked the process one way or another.

I just coined a new word: 'plagiarism'

Q: In cycles, do negative lights actually remove light or are they casting "Black" light?

GiantCowFilmsIn cycles, I just learned, that you can set a lamp's value to a negative number to create a "negative lamp". But in a few tests, instead of removing light, it seemed to just cast black light? What are the lamps actually doing?

facedesk
Y IT NO PHYSICS?

it creates minus light ;P

user259867
@bjb568 There is no "flag weight" anymore.
