Raise a custom mod flag, but not spam flag. Unless it's obvious spam like skin care or designer handbags, spam flags shouldn't be used because they have severe penalties.
@Sompuperoo Fun fun escape! Take your emergency corporate man Tie set! If they see you laughing it is the end! you will be forever labelled as a kid! Downvote! act like the pack! blend in the crowd!
@DroidDev if that is the level needed in the smart developers lab I hope none of them will ever program anything that ends up in a machine that should keep me alive....
well instead of running for loop, i think u should run that code with time, not inside for loop. I mean to say instead of updating ur timer in for loop 100 times, call this code sequentially after some millisec. Got my idea @ErumHannan ?
Most of the time:
- hallo i wants to match digits and letters where there is at least a zero pls gimme the regex
- (?=[^\W_]*0)[^\W_]+
- why doesn't it work on aaaa01111 - it should fail becuz zero is in front
@bummi @DroidDev If I could "totally delete" that question, I would. I'm not at all keen to be the starter of some open/close fight. A bunch of people made some points, and the umpire ruled "delete". I think it should be left at that. I don't particularly like it, but it certainly wasn't my intent to post a question that pissed people off as much as that one appeared to. I'm surprised, older, and wiser. If someone has the power to permanently delete it, by all means do.
@GreenAsJade I have neutral opinion about your question there. Not much to say. Although, those close/open war statements were not related in any way to the question that should/should not be asked on MSO. That would be same for any other question in same situation
Sure. The passion of people against that post was remarkable. But - an open/close war would be silly and probably just piss people off more, which is counter to any sort of fun. By the way, I selected "I hate hats", and I see I still have a hat here in Tavern. I daren't submit a bug report though: after a third negative rated question on MSO, I might get really zapped! ;)
@GreenAsJade haha! don't take it personally. No downvote/closevote on that question was in any way related to you. It was just the opinion of some community members and that's the only way(closevotes/downvotes or upvotes/re-open votes), to show the opinion on meta
@GreenAsJade I choose like hats, but don't really care about, meanwhile I'm not sure if hats in general are a good idea, too many manipulations, to much talk about and so on.
@DroidDev And here it is nice to see how mixed the community indeed is
I tend to agree @bummi. Nice idea in principle. @DroidDev, Mr 14mpi's comments were pretty passionate and personal. The rest I agree were just about the principle of the thing, which was tested and (IMO) found to be not acceptable. If the balance of votes on the actual question had been different, it might have been another thing.
@bummi well...yes, but, noone carries any harm or personal intention against anybody. They are just all working towards the betterment of community in what they think is a good way.
@GreenAsJade Go to Reddit is usually used for people, when someone think that they are using site for opinionative things and well...about the personal comments, nothing someone wrote on internet against anyone will affect other in real life. :)
Anyhow, I just got up (1am here) to say I think that an open/close war would be pointless, so if my opinion counts for anything, or if there's any button I can click to stop it, that'd be good. 17 nos vs 11 yesses means more than 5 open to 3 close or whatever. "night" all.
woah! This thing just came to my mind. With all these things, smokey should have a command, where the comments put here as reply, will be posted by smokey as comment on post or the one that are best :D
although, for obvious reasons, it won't be implemented...
@Moo BTW, TPing from the Tavern is redundant. As the TPA command (which is used to get it reposted in here) also combines the actions of the TP command.
