No direct experience, but if you haven't committed to a site on A51, there is no way how your participation in that site, or lack of it, can be held against you. Everyone can join private betas nowadays.

Q: Gamification rules have to be changed. Aiming quality, not quantity

Your Common SenseThe site has evolved. Evolved a great deal, and now it's essentially different from one it was at the beginning. I hope, after promoting this post for a very long time, there is not a soul left who wouldn't agree with that. Stack Overflow has accomplished all the quantity-oriented goals already....

^ Will SE ever do anything about that?
It's like remarkable. Besides being correct and important, it's Your Common Sense and not massively downvoted.

This one is in the VLQ http://stackoverflow.com/a/12451839/1699210
from all what I could find on META this would be a legit answer
but I also found this
http://stackoverflow.com/a/23033641/1699210

The second one seems to be an explicit copy-paste of the first one. I'd assume that's why it's removed.

@ShadowWizard Eureka effect

ok thanks, found it so the question in the VLQ could be seen as a derivat on 9, but still valid?

@SPArchaeologist no, I don't think so. Take the latest answer for example, it's an obvious "me too!" rant. And looks like I'm the only one thinking this way. :(

1:35 PM
@ShadowWizard First, the user there called you "dog", so it wins a free flag from me.
Second, I still believe they hope to get Eureka hat

Hmm...

see the one above
"Get on board and don't waffle! There is a Eureka moment hidden in the post!"
since Eureka isn't awarded to first one explaining but to those that reasonably got the hat without having the solution and guessed the rule for it
they probably hope staff will give other hats

@SPArchaeologist well, it doesn't really look offensive to me, looks like he's joking around. But still...

@ShadowWizard not so sure it was joking but still, I feel many want the free rep that post is giving
I almost never ever reached the daily cap
that post on the first day of bash made me so.

@SPArchaeologist but there's no hat for this..... or is there?

1:46 PM
there isn't. But you still keep the rep
and the badge

Yup rep is shiny :)

which in my case is also the only one I will ever get since it is impossible on SharePoint
@ShadowWizard look, I would be just interested in reaching the 10k for mod tool on sharepoint but that is impossible for most
just some user manage to do that (and some did in a REALLY suspicious way, but that other story)...

@SPArchaeologist wow only 30 Mortarboard badges... but why? Not enough active users?

you saw that?
no epic
no legendary
EVER
@ShadowWizard few active users, and most do not vote much
I probably could be blamed to
most of the rep come from low hanging fruits
in about 4 years I am at 4k
and still that is second page of the rep leader board!
if you look at answers, you see that many actually posts "have you tried to" or the even worse "Do you want to?". Most thing that should be comment is posted like answers
I saw answers that were just asking for more detail on the question
@ShadowWizard and the most epic thing is that we have 36 Unsung Hero. More than the Mortarboard....

Yeah, that's not nice... need to be a real hero to stay active in such a site ;)

Q: How to get list of my site user

ImenI have a form that contains an element of type SPUser like this picture : It's a combox witch contains the name of SPUser.Does any one have an idea. I am using SharePoint foundation 2013.

ok, it is clear what he want... but where do you need that combo to work? The answer assumes client scripting... but why? If he can go with server side he probably should avoid ecma script...
usual scenario: I post ask for detail comment, question get guess (not calling that answer) guess get single vote at max, asker disappear ^_^

Well, you can't fix the world... guess that's not going to change :(
hmm...
> But, they asked, where did all the seeds go? They chewed, they spat, they sat for more days. None would pass but the belly of the big one months later would explode as a giant onion set seed looking to grab some light and tears.
