@Rafflesiaarnoldii Thanks for the bounty.
CV the end of stackoverflow.com/… for roomba deleting
(or whatever tag you want)
Is the roomba like the macacroni?
do the roomba dance everyone!!
12:17 AM
does the roomba dance
user259867

Timely dance; the weekly script ran about 20 minutes ago (on math, at least).
user259867
Those 0-score old unanswereds should be gone now, @cVplZ. Unless SO is on different roomba schedule.
ok, will take a peek
user259867
I guess it is on different schedule; I still see those posts. Look under /tools for a big splash...

boom as well.
@hichris123 that needs cv's

You can post your own answer to unanswered downvoted feature requests...
can the employee who fixed the link on this bug report please leave an answer, so it can be closed out.
user259867
You could post "Link fixed, yay." and get +25 rep
12:47 AM
there's 700 of them
user259867
Actually, I just did.
236 of them aren't duplicates or closed
user259867
I'd rather employees spend more time fixing bugs than writing reports saying they are fixed. The list of feature changes is community-maintained, and it works quite well. Same could be done for bug reports, especially minor ones.
1:06 AM
51 blatant library questions here Every cv you do will give me a helpful flag.
@Frank and how many stars will it give me?
There you go.
So far I have 424 helpful flags on SO. I wanna see 500.
No user with 101 rep has a marshal badge on SO.
@Frank the thing that sucks about most those questions you listed, is they have 0 close votes currently and more than a 100 views... so if it doesn't get like 5 close votes within the week my close votes on them become obsolete and removed, and you dont' get any helpfuls
@cVplZ Flags become helpful after one cv.
Last time animuson got half of 'em and Jason C. got the rest.
And Jan
@Frank well, ask Animuson, he has mod-close hammer

Yeah
But why would someone upvote this? stackoverflow.com/questions/2474802/…
@Frank because reasons
It was edited 19 days ago by a 10k user, and has over 2k views, and its dumb.
> Added C (language) as the accepted answer suggests that.
the faq?!
Wow, the first revision...
Is this answer of mine correct?
No clue. It's been too long since I've messed with my gravatar.
1:22 AM
@Louis that's the problem... isn't the avatar, but the gavatar that the user has issues with ;)
There. Fixed. :)
I wish I could propose edits on child metas, especially from beta sites where I have over 500 rep.
@Louis noyadidnt
(gavatar/gravatar)
@Frank Then your answer is definitely wrong. It should be "you don't have a gavatar here." :P

[ SmokeDetector ] All-caps title: NEXUS 5 ANDROID 5 UPDATE STUCK ON GOOGLE by John on android.stackexchange.com
user259867
The ELU story reminds me of something similar at TeX. There is a notable user there who types most posts in all lowercase letters. Bill the Lizard suggested edits; rejected. Meta debate ensued. Bill got his TeX account deleted.
user259867
One can't really change a site from outside. I doubt that even SE can.
user259867
6:11 AM
Drupal is finally clean.
@InfiniteRecursion must be doing things in real life tonight
@Rafflesiaarnoldii They can shut it down, though
user259867
Theoretically. ELU is #5 in traffic among SE sites, and it's one of few SE sites I found naturally through Google searches... they must be doing something right on large scale.
I guess the core problem is, they see ELU as their site almost exclusively, they don't see outsiders' opinions useful.
6:21 AM
Who summoned me @cVplZ? :)
(I think I stated the obvious one)
@InfiniteRecursion ducks
@AndrewT. that's good though, grammar nazi's are irritating to me

you see, ducks and owls can be friends.. jan and inf should learn from them

^ I wrote this userscript to see what a fixed top bar would look like, and it surprisingly doesn't look too bad.
The owl doesn't seem to be too happy about the duck's affection. But in this case it's the other way around.
@AstroCB installed
It flickers slightly (rarely). Any chance you'll get bored soon?
user259867
Anyone ever seen a visibly happy owl? A picture?
6:35 AM
Oh. Wait. It's semitransparent.
@JanDvorak It was a two-line test, so I didn't check it too much, but yes: SE has it transluscent for some reason.
The margins are a little weird for Meta.SE, too, so I might see what I can do about that later.
The margin bork some sites

@JanDvorak Fixed.

Wow; it breaks pretty badly on AU, but I expected that.
BTW who said that Sublime couldn't fold Haskell code? Because it definitely can
@AstroCB serious bug: topbar popups show below post comments
and some other page content
the entire topbar does, in fact
It seems the paddingTop doesn't work? (observed on Android Enthusiasts, latest Chrome)
spam gone
cloud-based beta-testing, Astro?
6:55 AM
Oh, the padding works, but there is a problem with background-position-y
@JanDvorak Something like that.
@AndrewT. Exactly: for sites with a custom background for the logo, it gets pushed down.
I can fix it, but the amount that it's off by varies between sites.
I'm thinking of storing the y-position, then add 34px to it for general case.
But I don't know how lol
@JanDvorak Only after you click on it, though, which is weird.
But fixed, in any case.
7:15 AM
o/
@AstroCB no updates found, sry
have you uploaded it?
@JanDvorak Yes; v2.2 (I was a bit generous with the versioning).
seems to work now, thanks
You've been generous with the z-index as well, I've noticed
Would you like me to code-review?
Not much code to see. NVM
user259867
some experiment that I did,

var header = document.getElementById("header");
header.style.paddingTop = "34px";

var offset = window.getComputedStyle(header, null).getPropertyValue("background-position-y");
offset = offset.replace("px","");
offset = Number(offset)+34;
offset = offset+"px";
header.style.backgroundPositionY = offset;
(not js user, sorry! :P)
just realized it only works for sites with custom background. Area51 still borked, and AU... not that one...

Would you like chips with that? — Lightness Races in Orbit Jul 26 '11 at 16:57
Attention!!! Lightness has chips!!
@Unihedron Intel or AMD?
Fish and chips is a hot dish of English origin, consisting of battered fish, commonly Atlantic cod or haddock, and deep-fried chips. It is a common take-away food. A common side dish is mushy peas. == History == Fish and chips became a stock meal among the working classes in the United Kingdom as a consequence of the rapid development of trawl fishing in the North Sea, and the development of railways which connected the ports to major industrial cities during the second half of the 19th century, which meant that fresh fish could be rapidly transported to the heavily populated areas. Deep-fried...
