@AnnaLear as someone quite close to a gold badge in the VBA tag - trust me it's off topic - it's already closed and if you won't I will get 5 lads to help me delete it

@vba4all I'm not disputing that it's off-topic even a little bit.

it would be better for SE to have that migrated , but if you "cant" ... ok it seems like in some situations 5 regular community members get a lot more to say than a mod does :)

I can, I'm choosing not to.

@JasonC O.O

@Frank ...
(you win at ellipses)

@vba4all You'll need 10 people, by the way. I'm gonna think on this (re: migration) tonight.

user259867
Migration might hurt the search engine rating of that question. Prediction: if it gets 9 delete votes, alarm will sound in SE headquarters and historical lock will appear.

@AnnaLear thanks ... ill think of who else can I talk to to make 10 of us
;)

@justabrickinthewall We redirect migrated questions to the new destination, so that's not much of an issue.

user259867
Meanwhile, those 9 delete votes could remove 3 questions of no use to anyone.

@Haney Knowing... some... ahem SE users, I'm waiting for the "Why was I banned for flagging? A dev said that I should flag everything that might offend someone!" post on meta. :P
Hear, hear is an expression used as a short, repeated form of hear, hear him. It represents a listener's agreement with the point being made by a speaker. The actual source is the Hebrew Bible, Samuel II 20:16. "Then cried a wise woman out of the city: 'Hear, hear; say, I pray you, unto Joab: Come near hither, that I may speak with thee.'" It was originally an imperative for directing attention to speakers, and has since been used, according to the Oxford English Dictionary, as "the regular form of cheering in the House of Commons", with many purposes, depending on the intonation of its user. Its...

USPS, y u so slow!

12:48 AM
@chmod711telkitty I HATE USPS SO MUCH.
I just ranted at somebody about them in real life today, incidentally.
Every time I get a package USPS I can guarantee it won't be in my hands until at least a week after the delivery date, and there will be at least one customer service call to track it down.
"Delivery attempted" my ass.
Once on a service phone call the rep, on the west coast, actually said, "Yeah, we get call about delivery problems in Brooklyn [I live in Brooklyn] all the time, I'm not sure what their problem is over there." I wish I had recorded that.
ARGH
I'm going to stop typing about them now.
Incidentally I'm waiting on the second scheduled redelivery "attempt" of a package right now.

Worlds creepiest plant:
Rafflesia arnoldii is a member of the genus Rafflesia. It is noted for producing the largest individual flower on earth. It has a very strong and horrible odor of decaying flesh, earning it the nickname "corpse flower". It is endemic to the rainforests of Borneo and Sumatra. Although there are some plants with larger flowering organs like the titan arum (Amorphophallus titanum) and talipot palm (Corypha umbraculifera), those are technically clusters of many flowers. Rafflesia arnoldii (Indonesian: padma raksasa) is one of the three national flowers in Indonesia, the other two being the white jasmine...
It doesn't have leaves, and is parasitic.
Lives entirely inside the host plant, except when it breaks through the bark, and opens the worlds largest flower. shudders

@hichris123 That post is about SO and he will have to find a way to accept the reality that it is a post about SO. I don't particularly care about his viewpoints; the reality is what it is, no matter how valid his point may be. I also didn't really want to devote another sentence to it (or any brain power mincing words), it is a counterproductive and pointless debate.

@JasonC The point was simply that it was hard to tell if it was a feature request for a change across the network or just on SO.
@Doorknob yep.

@hichris123 I know and do not care. It wasn't hard to tell at all after:
@psubsee2003 that's why I posted on MSO , not MSE, if they want network wide, that's fine with me, but this feature request is for SO — cVplZ 33 mins ago
He misinterpreted what the post was about. Then it was pointed out. Now it's time to move on, not continue a debate. It's completely irrelevant whether or not his misinterpretation was justified.

2:43 AM
@cVplZ I don't really see a point in this. I mean, you might as well just arbitrarily change it to 1 day. Or make all answers get reviewed.

@Doorknob congrats on 20k!

@hichris123 1 day is a reasonable amount of wait time though (IMHO). But I would be interested to see a query about usual wait times. @hichris123 Exactly.
