4:01 PM
@Unihedron yeah I know, but logically it should do so right ?

What if you re-use the same image in multiple posts?

true :-(

And how is that going to happen? Firstly, checking for links in posts every revision is not practical. You'd be rebuilding the Java GC.

^ Yikes !

Secondly, you cannot possibly know if a picture has been uploaded and used somewhere else.

4:02 PM
so if somebody wants an image removed they must ask imgur ? @Unihedron I agree
the chats incredible seo, made me run into an issue x)

@Abhishek ?? you posted a less than optimal image and google got it now ??

@Vogel612 A rather social issue
Posted a picture of me with my faince, crazy indian culture... my mother in law is asking me to get it down -_-.. cause we aren't married yet.

@Abhishek oh..
um... just marry her already then ;)

Not that easy :-(

You should be able to file a takedown request with imgur / SE Team.

4:09 PM
Sometimes I hate being in India
Did with imgur.
The PITA will be getting it off google image cache :x

file a takedown with google... They get tons of this stuff I bet..

Yeap. so i will just let their cache update
hope it doesn't cause any issues :-/

@Abhishek All stuff on SE is only soft-deleted. So hard-deleting images would be a bad idea.

@bjb568 DevDoodle bug! It does not post a chat message if it contains an even number of backticks. (an odd number works fine though)

@ThiefMaster gotcha :-)

4:21 PM
@ThiefMaster there is a possibility for hard-deletions.

Yes, and AFAIK it has been used exactly once ;)

But that requires dev involvement and is only done as a last resort
@ThiefMaster once??? wow that's.... Holy...

I think it was used on some meta post that pissed off jeff atwood ;)

I remember reading a post on mse about jeff messing with the database concerning post ownership or something...

@ThiefMaster so the moral of the story is to piss off Jeff if you want your content hard deleted? :)

4:46 PM
@ProgramFOX ...How is that even possible?

@bjb568 No idea, but I tried that out in the Sandbox, and that was the case.

@Bart so praying to jeff attwood would technically work aswell ?

@ProgramFOX Here's the crappy parser I'm using: github.com/bjb568/mmd.js Fix it.

@bjb568 Hah, I remember you saying that you find that an awesome parser because it is so short :P

@ProgramFOX Well, it was incomplete. Then I screwed it up by building on it.

It looks like it goes wrong here:
.replace(/\*([^*]+)\*/g, '<em>$1</em>') + (i == arr.length - 1 && i != 0 ? '</code>' : '');

Well, fix it. :P

Will do, after I can understand how it works :P
So basically it adds one </code> too much if you have an even number of backticks.

4:56 PM
Ugh.

@Andy I'm hesitant to dv more than 3 of those for fear of serial dv.
@Andy I flagged 5 but only dv'd 3.

Fair enough.

@Braiam Fascinating... that question is from a 159k user... but very much ot. cv'd.

@SantaClaus meme

@SantaClaus well, at least he's not Doctor and you ain't Marty, so the time continuity is safe

Sam
7:46 PM
^ naa plz

I AM THE SIGNIFICANCE OF BROWN.
I just misread the phrase "client-server socket connection" as "client-server rocket connection." The latter seems a lot more interesting.

Will be even more embarrassing when you have to return that tanker of fuel you just ordered.

@Undo Quick question, is the "bad.txt" file suppose to contain network wide spam?

@Sam yup

@Bart I'll just expense it. Returns are such a hassle.

Anybody here that knows how or where you import a client-side certifcate on an ipad?
Is that inside safari?

@rene Um. You can use the Apple Configurator to generate special files (don't remember the extension) that can include certificates.

@SantaClaus ooohhh, that sounds...not easy...

@rene Its pretty easy but whats the purpose of these certificates?

to authenticae on a website

8:35 PM
@rene hmmm idk

@rene I couldn't even tell you if OSX has an OS-Wide cert repo. I'd imagine it does.

@rene IIRC I think you just have to open the .p12 on your device to install it.

@rene You're looking to do it via a UI, not programmatically?
Apparently you just double click on them.

@LynnCrumbling You...can't doubleclick on an ipad...

/me bangs head against wall.

8:41 PM
@Lynn iOS != OS X ;)

@LynnCrumbling Keychain Access

(you were right about the .p12, btw)
although the page lists a .pfx as well.
I hate client-side certs. We have a product or two that uses them, and every time I have to play with that code, it's a pain in the &**

@rene did your vote expired?

@LynnCrumbling yep
@Braiam no
@LynnCrumbling Look like this did the trick

@rene terrific.
Is there any way to get a question deleted, after it was closed as a dup, but then the target was deleted it because it was ot?

8:48 PM
@LynnCrumbling same ways you'd get any other question deleted

@AnnaLear Uh...Custom Flag?

@SantaClaus Cast a delete vote if you can, flag for a mod if you can't.

@AnnaLear Thanks!

Or randomly drop a link in a chatroom and see if a diamond sees it. ;) (Which was super effective this time.)

Post your pending SR flags here and I'll see them.
Oh wait, you don't have any. No one has any. Because we handled them all >:D
It's been four days since I've seen a flag

posts again the two question he has posted for the last hour in hopes that Undo closes them

@Undo proceeds to ask what SR means, and while waiting for an answer prepares "/me banging head on wall"

8:56 PM
@hichris123 Oh kk

@Undo is the site still up?

I thought it was some odd flag I'd never heard of.

@rene I... think so :P

Do it in a branch, though
