yeah
(I'll look at the A51 merge later. In the middle of something right now.)

If you're busy, why are you responding to notifications?

@bjb568 she loves cats
and hate making cats wait

Ah, that's good.

@bjb568 This took 2 seconds...
But sure, I'll ignore your pings if you'd prefer. ;)

12:47 AM
If you offer a bounty on someone else's question, do they get a notification about that?

12:58 AM
@Cupcake I dunno but we can try it do you have a question
16
Q: What does the "at" @ sign/symbol/character mean in Git?

CupcakeThe at-sign @ is often used in git to specify revisions in different ways. For example, <ref>@{<date>} specifies the reference at its state on <date>. Example: git diff master@{yesterday} master. <ref>@{<n>} specific the reference at its nth prior state. Example: git diff master@{1} master. @{-<

@Cupcake Bounty offered; did you get a notification?

user163250
@JasonC no, I didn't get a notification...did you really stick a bounty on that?

user163250
Oh dear.

user163250
How embarrasing.

user163250
Uh, thanks?

@Cupcake I did; lol here's 50 rep.
Oh, well, in 23 hours.

1:05 AM
don't worry, Jason has lots of repz

user163250
I feel like I should return it.

waits for the auto flag

I know, right; are we going to get auto-banned, haha.

1:48 AM
@AnnaLear Can the meta SO account be merged into my new one?
How about this other one left over from 2888561?
It feels so weird to be able to vote on my own posts. There's an upvote button for my own comments!

@Jamal WHY ARE PEOPLE ANSWERING THAT QUESTION??????!

sigh

Perhaps we do need an Opinions SE site, just to keep this crap off of SO.

@JasonC I asked a mod to refund it back to you. No bans for us! :D

user163250
What's an auto ban?

user163250
Can we get banned for passing a bounty back and forth between our accounts?

Someone handled all the flags again.

user163250
@hichris123 OMG this is awesome!

user163250
@animuson is it against the rules if two distinct users pass a bounty back and forth between each other repeatedly?

3:12 AM
@animuson :D

user163250
@hichris123 um, 2 people clicked the wrong close reason for that one :P

darn, animuson, leave me flag first >:|

user163250
@Jamal Eternal Vigilance!

@Cupcake Whoops, misclick. They are so close together...
Well, it came out as bullets, both of the points are good.
Why isn't stackoverflow.com/q/24920591/3890059 closed? Caching?

There are only two votes on it

3:25 AM
@Cupcake Oops. :P

@random That's the point. You are supposed to vote on it. Go!

As low effort or just crap?

Gosh I love answering support questions with "because phpBB sucks" and having it be the right answer.

@random Unclear? There's no question in it.

They wanted the paragraph to be indented from the side though

3:33 AM
What's "indented" supposed to mean? Link doesn't help. What's wrong with margin-left, specifically? What's the wall of code for?

But they said it doesn't worked

What didn't work?
Why?
How to reproduce?

It

What do you want out of us?

It doesn't worked. The worked that it was to be doing doesn't doing it.

3:35 AM
What do you want out of us?
Where in your code is your attempt?
(Can't seem to find a "when" question...)

Went with "why is no workings" as it's leaving out parts

Oh, query finally finished. I see.

Q: Announcement: Keyboard shortcuts are now integrated into the site

balphaOriginally we had implemented keyboard shortcuts as a user script. We have now finally made the change to have them integrated into the site. When you go to the "preferences" page on your profile, you'll find a new checkbox labeled "Enable keyboard shortcuts". Click it, and from there on, everyt...

@Braiam Which key sequence? M to moderate, then what?

Because it's a comment

@random It's meta.

Doesn't mean it's all out all the time

Uh... yeah, it does.
Anyway, what about the convert-to-comment option?

3:57 AM
> How could asbestos hurt you? It's got best right in it.

Compare your comment to the other answers there. They're giving feedback compared to just snark. Some answerments don't require converting.

@random But it's meta, where people express opinions.
WAAAAAA MOD ABUSE!!!! :P
Not that I care about the answer very much, it just seemed strange.

It's typical of those type of announcetions

4:20 AM
@Braiam what are we, GitHub now?

user163250
Woo!

user163250
I just turned them on!

user163250
They're Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat! :D

How to CV with them?

@Cupcake Lol thanks.

4:38 AM
^ Does this look like a good chat UI?

@bjb568 The general vibe is nice but having the author's user names on the right, in my opinion, creates too much dead space for the eye to have to track across to get to the name, and you will almost always want to see who is speaking (and usually you'll want to see who is speaking before you read the text). It could be especially rough on wide monitors.

Hm... creating that.

Good Morning...!!! Eid Mubarak to all...!!! :)

@SilentKiller Hi

Hi!

4:48 AM
Hello.
hows you all.?

@Cupcake Oh and, I dunno. It was more of a tongue-in-cheek comment. I kinda doubt it, all of the automated systems for stuff like that that I have seen here seem to be pretty reasonable.

@SilentKiller I'm fine.

user163250
Is someone here to kill people?

user163250
Silently?

No, he just kills silence, by making conversation.

4:51 AM

@JasonC This better? There's a lot of blank space, but hopefully it will be filled up with... content.

@bjb568 I think it's better. Or maybe even something like this (I just photoshopped it so maybe not quite as light colored name/time):

6:00 AM
Experimenting with underlines and stuff. But bed time now, goodnight.

@bjb568 Good Night. SD TC

@bjb568 good night

@DroidDev hii Indian dev whats your name.?

@SilentKiller DroidDev, how do you know I am Indian? :O

@DroidDev Your DP. i am a good Observer. ;)

6:07 AM
@SilentKiller that's good, are you also an Indian?

well, DP word is not mostly used here, it is mostly used in India, here "avatar" is used. I think my observation powers are also improving :)

hahahaah good one.

so, where you from, in India?

I just noticed that mousing over a chat message highlights the next and previous in the reply chain. That's so cool! Who is responsible for this?

Just a general FYI - pending swag for contests, and general because we love it when you have more swag shipments are going out this weekend, which means if we owe you something, you'll get it as early as the middle of next week.

@chmod711telkitty you should include "s" also with Po to complete typo_s_

@chmod711telkitty It was predicted at birth then, it seems. +1 for detsiny.

@TimPost you owe me hundreds of thousands of unicoins :P

user202362
what swag?

user202362
@DroidDev so true :p

8:18 AM
@TimPost You owe me 50 stuffed unicorns, mini-Stack Exchange shirts included. Oh, and 1,337 unicorn dollars. What? You don't remember? What are you talking about?

@Doorknob is your shirt size sock?

...and then @TimPost ignored us, like unicoins and unicorns never even existed for him.

user202362
@TimPost what's this swag thing that I constantly hearing about

@chmod711telkitty i'm pretty sure swag is slang for marijuana

user202362
Oo ... hash shipment ... elite!

8:30 AM
@DroidDev Why the "existed"? acknowledge it - they still exist an run free across the various boards.

@SPArchaeologist what boards?? yesterday, I say a unicorn in my monitor, compiling my code.

@DroidDev Start to worry when they replace the screen saver.

@SPArchaeologist I already see random comments in my code, my app is doing weird things since morning and once my device tried to fly across the room

8:45 AM
@Doorknob For some reason that totally escapes me, we have no stuffed unicorns.
@chmod711telkitty Shirts, mugs, stickers and whatnot

@TimPost Really?

@Doorknob None in the warehouse, those were a one-time special order methinks.

@TimPost i would bet money that some employee(s) have a crate of them in their home

@iStimple That'd be kind of hard, all of our stuff is drop-shipped. It goes from the printer to a warehouse company that provides us a means to have the folks in the warehouse send stuff out.
So it's probably one crate ordered, and they just went really fast.
We need stuffed unicorns, this is a moral imperative.

After 8 years over here you'd think I know when the national holiday is .... that was a useless trip to the office.

8:52 AM
So much fun handpicking you're own ip-address because the dhcp server refuses to give you one...
@Bart Happy national holiday! +1 for commitment...

the first thing I do every year, when our company calendar rolls out, is to check which holiday is clubbed with weekend, get happy, then work on that day too

The Swiss National Day (German: Schweizer Bundesfeier; French: Fête nationale Suisse; Italian: Festa nazionale svizzera; Romansh: Fiasta naziunala Svizra) is the national holiday of Switzerland, set on 1 August. It is an official national holiday since 1994, although the day had been suggested for the celebration of the foundation of the Swiss Confederacy as early as 1889. == History == The date is inspired by the date of the Federal Charter of 1291, placed in "early August", when "three Alpine cantons swore the oath of confederation, an action which later came to be regarded as the foundation...

Unfortunately it's no way near as exciting as Koninginnedag @rene ... well, Koningsdag ...

only official since 1994? psh..

8:55 AM
@iStimple don't overlook the special bread they have for the event. The Swiss know how to party.

@Bart You're more than welcome over here on April 27th, 2015 ;-)

so it would work from tomorrow onwards. Am i correct?

does the scores are recalculated?

Should, but a successful run depends on the zombie tag cleanup running beforehand. If it doesn't, it may take a couple of days.

You have to love dependencies...

Thanks for your info. Bye ...

Hi @rene . Afaik technically no. Real world: depends on the mood - the board is very low traffic, so even suggestion requests get to stay around (and some times they are voted too)

Ok, I saw a couple of them and there was a recent meta-post to create a canonical for it, so.... Tnx

Q: Password:hint showing as an regular text

ShubhJust noticed that android:password has been deprecated, and we should be using android:inputType. I did same and set hint text, but instead to show * it is showing regular text Anyone have suggestion if I am missing anything.

lol, you are missing too-much

"It's only you who can see the text. Others will see it as ****" ... should we try that bash.org classic?

anyone has a query to count tags?

count what tags?

SELECT count(*) FROM tags?
What's the correlation coefficient between crappy posts and "urgent:" in the title?

And it got two upvotes...

@JanDvorak no, I've used the allotted indents for today

@rene near, but I wanted post with 1 tag, post with 2 tags, ....

does anyone have a working electorate badge progress query on hand?

@CarrieKendall open a random review queue like stackoverflow.com/review/first-posts and hover over the bar to the left of "stats"

hah, yeah that works but i was actually wondering about the logic behind.. is it just for questions you upvote from within a review?

yesterday, by Sterling Archer
Why read documentation when StackOverflow will do it for you?
^ @shog9 Can that be SOA's motto?

@CarrieKendall no it's all your votes. See meta.stackexchange.com/questions/34340/electorate-badge-rules
Voting stats are not available in the Data Explorer so you can't query for it.

3:17 PM
> You must have at least 600 votes for questions

If you go to your profile you can see a votes tab. Take the sum of your upvotes and downvotes subfilter, and then you must have at least 600 question votes (get the number from the review queue) and it must be at least 25% of the sum you just calculated.

i guess i misread the badge summary. for whatever reason i was thinking "600 votes of which 25% are questions"
clearly user error, thanks for the link :)

like this? Post.Joins(: access_levels).Joins(: users).Where(...)

ActiveRecord creates an alias for the second join('access_levels_users')
