Generally the purpose is to give people information that is vital for them to know while in the Chat room

Almost a year late and way over budget.

I don't really know what goes on at the project management/politician level. I should ask about that on Programmers SE, actually.

I sit in a two-person cube with our project lead, so I get to know a lot more than I really want to know about what's going on. (It isn't a place of honor; it's a place that no one else wanted to sit.)

I don't mean this in a bad way, but you never seem to say good things about what you do; so why stay?

Part of it is the old "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush".

I do have side project at home which helps keep me sane when I go for months without coding at work.

@mmyers I keep trying and failing to start those. But that's the time that's going to get cut out with this new work schedule, for better or for worse.

I've been working on mine for two and a half years. Sales are somewhere in the thousands, but I've yet to see a cent of it. That makes it hard sometimes.
