I think I have participated to the wrong tag up to now... it is much easier to get reputation for good answers in a common tag as it seems :-)

Can some people convince this user that he should open a question on meta or tell me to stop the argument?
Please, just take a look at the same question: stackoverflow.com/questions/3467549/open-source-online-ide. This guy has received the answer at 2010, but unfortunately in 2014 almost all the links are invalid. — user3501724 21 mins ago
I accept both outcomes...

Yeah, well, people changes and SO too. — Braiam 9 secs ago
argument adverted

change, plural.

Ok, tnx

rene, the close machine :-)

:-)

just delete the other Q

I cannot vote on delete because it was only caused 4 hours ago.

@rene can ;)

That can only be done in 2 days

wait, you can Lazzlo
@rene I meant the Q he linked :/

11:20 PM
@rene: I thought 24 hours is the limit.
@Braiam: that was closed 4 hours ago.

Yeah, I always mixup all those limits.

crap, so much time?

For that same reason I collect a lot of speeding tickets...

delete votes is 2 days after closing
unless you have 20k in which case you can vote immediately
but it needs -3 score or less for immediate deletion

@rene: based on the privileges page, you are right:
"You must wait for a question to be closed for 2 days before you can vote for deletion. This restriction is removed for trusted users."

Cool! I got something correct! Can I have my hat/unicoin/waffle now?

:-)
my crappiest post got the most reputation today, fun.

@LaszloPapp I'm not sure we're on the same page. I think the OP was pointing to that other question (which was open when the OP posted) as evidence that the OP's question should remain open. I don't think it is a good reason but when the OP looked at that question, it was still open.

I do not understand the OP personally. Why post the same question again (either way)?

Good point!

perhaps he does not know the bounty system. :-)
not sure what happens to the bounty for a closed question though.

11:33 PM
Well, the overriding issue here is that the OP is asking for off-site resources. So no new question, no bounty, do not get to pass go and collect $200.

it is ok, the op has not called rene stack overflow police yet :)
I remember an OP telling me that his closed question would be valid, and then he started linking 5-6 other off-topic questions to show examples which also got closed, thanks to him for revelaing, and then he got angry. :-)
he made a useful contribution, he just did not realize.

"Ok I'm not going to ask for an off-site resource, then. I'm going to change my question to ask how to implement it. What do you say NOW, eh?"
Too broad, that's what I say.

too broad.
as rene wrote earlier.

Yeah, I've had this kind of interaction with some posters.
"It is NOT a duplicate!!!" Ok, but it is still unclear, too broad, opinion-based. Which close reason do you prefer?

It has been a lovely day... now I am going to get some sleep...cya
