@JourneymanGeek Considering that the LLM partnership is with Google specifically, the ads come from there and the allowed tracking pixel comes from there too, choosing Google only means that they will now have full control of the infrastructure.

So, anything else is better.

also, in theory, tuning aside, (citation needed) - the tech base they're talking about, K8s and terraform, are generally platform agnostic

there's nothing stopping them from, entirely in theory, switching providers or even re-migrating back to physical servers given a need, resources and time

@JourneymanGeek Yeah it's definitely a little sad. I have put my name on a list -- I totally want to own NY-WEB10 or NY-WEB11 once we decommission the datacenter. Those are the webservers that host Meta, and I want to keep some of that history.

It's also not a site for interpersonal relationships... just because it involves more than 1 human doesn't mean it's suited for the site... the whole thing with interpersonal skills is that they're much narrower than that, so the topic is limited to the behaviors you use when interacting with others (to achieve certain goals), as that's what the skills part is. To have a site that didacts on EQ or relationships in general, you'd need a whole different topic.
