@PM2Ring I don’t recall any such official guidelines, but I’d certainly be editing posts like that so that the question body is self-contained.
@ElementsInSpace Ok, but I'd rather not do such edits. I think it's much better if we can get the OP to understand why we want question bodies to be self-contained.
I'm not looking for a "decree from on high" that says "you must do this"; I'm looking for a discussion where the community comes to a consensus on this practice.

@PM2Ring This answer to a related question, is pretty good.

@ElementsInSpace Thanks. That is pretty good. And I already upvoted it some time ago. :)

Success!
THANK you, @PM2Ring. That also solved the problem I have where the body is blank because I already asked the complete question in the title. — Miss Understands 44 mins ago
@PM2Ring She understands
@M.A.R. Indeed. She also goes by another name... psychology.stackexchange.com/users/35587/jess-fuckett
Is there a good phone number?
@PM2Ring that comes after she understands
@AndreascondemnsIsrael it has to stop at some point. Right? Right?

@M.A.R. I did read today that Israel is about to call an end to the war in Lebanon, but focus again on Gaza. Good or bad? Dunno.
@AndreascondemnsIsrael question is, what for? I'm trying to figure it myself, as even our most extreme people don't want to settle in Lebanon itself. What is the motivation for this, in your opinion?
I do agree that in Gaza, the ultimate goal is indeed to settle it, at least like it used to be before this.
long time no...

Good.
Now back to the report! (New one, the one I ranted about before is finally ready, waiting for the customer to review it. ;))
BTW, @ꓢPArcheon I didn't mean for you to delete the question, just explain about the ads. I do agree folks that use Smokey to help fight spam deserve something, just wonder why of all things you chose to focus on the Reduced Ads privilege.
@ShadowWizard You aren’t talking about the SmokeDetector reports are you?
@ElementsInSpace nah, deleted post
@JourneymanGeek Who is the customer?
hmm
Whomever is buying the ads :D
The trick is really to convince the product that the ads are worth looking at
The customer reviews the SmokeDetector ad reports?
15:33
uhhh noooo?
@ElementsInSpace lol no. Boring excel reports. Though this one is PDF, but meh - still boring. :D
Wait a minute, who is buying the ads?
I though you usually had to paid to advertise.
@JourneymanGeek check what @Elements replied to. ;)
oh wait
NEVER MIND

:-D
@ElementsInSpace unknown companies, SE using third party for the ads and can only set some filters. But that's unrelated to my message about reports, there was a question from ꓢPArcheon about it, now deleted.
15:38
Maybe the ads are selling smoke detectors (with high quality filters).

@ShadowWizard Buffer zones, which is a breach of humanitarian law. Eventual settlements should not be ruled out.
And just good old-fashioned hate-driven destruction of a people whose humanity you have lowered.
@ShadowWizard two comments, sentiment from both was "no need". So... enjoy you ads, I've better things to do.
@ꓢPArcheon Hey, you doing okay? You're a bit combative these days
16:37
I simply stopped fighting windmills.
Company not doing great things? Folks here happy with the status quo and don't want conflicts? Their choice, won't hear from me pointing out issues.
There I made an exception thinking that it wasn't... "antagonizing"? Yet since they like things the way they are... why bother? I mean, it won't change **my** life, I use an ads blocker.

@AndreascondemnsIsrael ah, this does make sense, sadly.
@ꓢPArcheon like I said, just found that specific hill you chose to climb somewhat odd, and remote from the windmills you're usually fighting.

> The bare minimum for significant software changes is to gather community feedback before finalizing any decisions on making those changes, and before any such change is released for beta testing. It's also been established that almost no such change will ever be irreversible if it is detrimental to the platform.
from meta.stackexchange.com/q/392032/997587. I can't remember and am too lazy to use my brain right now. did the unauthorized access stuff and database dump stuff follow that? or are they not considered "significant"?
