@JourneymanGeek My first answer on Pets has been well received — you must be proud of me.

@ElementsInSpace if that was a current question I'd consider closing it ;p

Awww.
So it's okay to ask about giving moong dal to dogs, but not about giving porridge to cats?
Just like they say: it's a doggy-dog world.

4:18 AM
Its not a question about a proverb
its a practical problem :D
Hi @Catija

1 hour later…
5:55 AM
@SPArcheon Oh my god, before I even read your answer, my first thought was wait

6:17 AM
@Feeds wait. Did they do a podcast that's entirely the... Blog/marketing team?
.... With no link to the podcast?

1 hour later…
7:32 AM
@JourneymanGeek of course. Here is the link, it's done on purpose so people will have to work hard to find it.
Or just a test, to see if anyone actually reading their blog posts and/or care enough to report "Hey, this is a podcast but where's the link?".
I surely don't. lol
@SPArcheon doing what?
@user16217248 well generally speaking, ordinary user should never get the 500 Internal Server Error, assuming that's what you mean, so yes worth a bug report. Don't understand what you mean about 404, if you mean bug report about 404 Not Found error then no, unless of course it's coming for something that should exist.

7:48 AM
@ShadowWizardIsSadAndAngry "The world linkage reminds me of sausage."
"Never cared much for the links myself, preferred the patties…"

8:34 AM
@user16217248 that is @JourneymanGeek's answer, not mine. ^_^
@ShadowWizardIsSadAndAngry blame @JourneymanGeek who moved the message.

@SPArcheon oh, I keep forgetting the script he's using also move all commands, not only spam feedback. Almost makes it useless to use the fun commands, but just almost. Coffee serves its purpose and can be discarded, so it's fine. I guess. :D
@SPA but I'm pretty sure the !!/hats command didn't work last year when WB was still active, i.e. long dead anyway. Maybe they predicted the future.

9:01 AM
@ShadowWizardIsSadAndAngry then we can blame all the Smokey team for this self-realizing prophecy.
Prepare the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale!

@user16217248 :D
4 letters is too short tho
so I had a little more fun

9:24 AM
@ShadowWizardIsSadAndAngry Now, it won't happen and it would require a lot of work... but it would be VERY funny if Codidact announced a Winter Bash like event....

10:12 AM
> "just Monic wait"
should be long enough.
@ShadowWizardIsSadAndAngry before you ask, no.. it is not related

3 hours later…
1:05 PM
@ShadowWizardIsSadAndAngry tp

sorry, thought that would give smokey feedback :)

lol
Smokey still isn't so advanced. ;)

Doesn't it work that way in CHQ? Maybe not.
no, no, it's replying to smokey're reply to the report that works, I think.

@terdon hard to believe Smokey monitor replies to other users, but who knows...

1:08 PM
Yeah, you're right, exactly. I don't see how it could without access to their account.

Well, it could. Just not worth implementing.

It could track the entire chat and try to follow conversations.

@VLAZ ah and just parse to guess? I guess so.

Anyway, I was correct, nobody read the blog. Long hours after the podcast post posted without link to, well, the podcast, not a single bug report and of course SE staff didn't check/see/fix it. So sad, but so typical.
They just post and forget without reading what they posted. This latest one is total proof for that.

1:10 PM
Why would anyone read the blog? It only ever has marketing noise or nonsense.
2

Yeah. In theory - see if somebody posted a command like "tp", follow that to the post that was replied to, see if that post mentions a URL, find a report for that, apply the TP to the report.
But it could also be incorrect.
@terdon Well, we've seen that even editors haven't read it in the past, so you're right! /s

@VLAZ yeah that's kind of how the fun bots work, at least in my Den.

In fairness, the blog has improved since then. It's still marketing noise or nonsense but at least it's not blatantly wrong.

@terdon well, I think SE still believe some people read it.
@VLAZ well because they appear to have fixed set of writers, not letting any paying guest to post whatever they want.

2 hours later…
2:44 PM
@VLAZ sometimes it is

3:03 PM
@ShadowWizardIsSadAndAngry I am sure some people do. We were never the target audience.

2 hours later…
5:17 PM
@ShadowWizardIsSadAndAngry I found an 'Oops! Something bad happened!' where I would expect to normally see 'Page not found.'

@user16217248 Yes, that sounds like a bug. In fact, it might even be that trying to serve the 404 page is itself throwing an error.
Worth notifying SE about. How they prioritise it or if they take action is not really your responsibility. They might deem it by design.

5:34 PM
@Glorfindel where can I contact you to fix a link?

here ... though my availability is rather limited at the moment :)

2 hours later…
7:53 PM
@Glorfindel when you have time, but it seems that this answer has a broken link

1 hour later…
9:18 PM
@Glorfindel hi there!
@user16217248 well yes, then as @VLAZ said better report it as a bug.
