I think there's no real archaeological name for a period marked by 'pointed stick use', as that's something even monkeys do...

It's likely reasonable to assume that the last common ancestor of both humans and apes could do that trick too ;)

@VLAZ XD... the point is... pointed sticks generally don't last. That's why most of archaeology starts with stone age: Stone tools are some of the first 'human made' things that survived for long enough to be studied. Digging up hominids is a grey zone, it's kinda multidisciplinary between paleontology and sometimes archaeology (to see if there were artifacts).

I would rejoice if some day there was a fossilized pointy stick found though!

I liked only the original show, 20-30 years ago, before it was turned into just another trash reality show.

Anyway it happened to me more than once over the years, usually I posted comment like "Please stop rolling back useful edits", and if this didn't help and OP still did it, just downvote, and move on. (Well, might have left some snarky comments on my way out, but not recently, learned it's pointless.)
