@Rob Yes, there are/were two accounts with the same name. The Workplace has been having a persistent troll for a while now. One of the things the troll does, from time to time, is create an account with the same name as an established user and use that spoofed name to post their trolling. Unless there's evidence that the established user is actually participating, it should be assumed they are an innocent victim of the troll spoofing their account name.
This is actually a moderately common thing for trolls to do. It's significantly more common than an established user participating in something like this, so should be the normal assumption, unless there's evidence to the contrary.
@Makyen There's half a dozen robs, fortunately we're all good guys :) and haven't been impersonated thus far; pings OTOH have been more amusing for some than for others. The rep1 account has had 4 of my flags accepted yet isn't suspended (so far). If you need extra flags just come here and give us a 🔔.
@Rob Yeah, although I'd assumed that an actual reply would ping only you. Does an actual reply ping the other robs too?
As to anything happening to the troll's account beyond the posts being deleted and the rep penalty, it takes a moderator to do anything to the actual account. All three of the site's moderators have set it up so they get pinged for each report. It's just that they aren't around at the moment. I'm sure they will destroy the account when they get online.

I'd like to ping Bob, without bothering bob with my pings. I see two ways to do this - It's trivial for me to get the username - so could we have a way to ping a user by user id numbe...
@Makyen My understanding is that replies go to one person and general @'s go to everyone who is pingable, in the case of "Rob" IF we had Roberto, Robby, Robert, Robin, etc. then they all get it with a general ping - so "ert" (formerly "rob", lowercase) prefers specific replies.
