@JourneymanGeek: Well, it was shared in the mod. chat on the day it was posted - perhaps moderators made up a higher proportion of the early up-voters than of the late down-voters.
Another possibility is that it was viewed more favourably by the more frequent visitors to Meta SE, who would have read it & voted on it earlier than the less frequent visitors.
And another, of course, is that later voters were swayed by the critical answers & comments that had then been written.
15 days... Well that was fast, for SE standards. Wondering what they'll be featuring next, usually if something is unfeatured early there's other stuff coming :D
