hmm
I'm wondering if there's value in adding wikipedia or actual site links to the unsupported/user-tested browsers meta.stackexchange.com/questions/56161/…

5 hours later…
6:35 AM
@JourneymanGeek OP might have less than 100 rep so it will collide with rep requirement.
Ideally, the system will auto appoint the user with most rep if there's a user with over 100, but...
@Aibobot what do you mean? To browsers like Brave? Don't think so, those who need to know (i.e. using such browser) already know, and it's one Google search away.
Got a better one
15 hours old (!) certificate meta.stackexchange.com/questions/331589/… @Bart @rene

got it

tnx

6:50 AM
yw

np

ok

hi

7:07 AM
high

stoned

timmed

@ShaWiz I run falkon and Vivaldi

@JourneymanGeek and?

Vivaldi is blink based. Falkon runs some QT fork of chromium

7:15 AM
oh

Lol. About half the unsupported browsers on the list are me ;p

lol

Netsurf failed horribly
No JS support. In 2019

Think any browser starting with "Net" will fail.
Netscape was the first and made it a curse. ;)

7:31 AM
At this day, "no Javascript" can be used as a selling point. Not that there's much actual demand, but it still sells better than as a known limitation.

7:42 AM
Some of these frigging Toshiba tools are nuts: there is an important notification about your diskdive hmm, okay, what could that be? Let's click to find out: Your HDD is working properly. Now I wonder what else is working properly and more importantly: Not having seen that alert before, does that mean it wasn't working properly before?

lol

@JohnDvorak true but there's a lot of other odd quirks and you can't get on SE on it
@ShaWiz this is odd. Also runs their own rendering engine. And annual releases
@rene it is fine. Now. Said the computer, omenously

7:59 AM
@rene how about "Your files are exactly where you left them"

@Bart that would be a miracle. That never happens over here XD

Haha

My files are always next to Tims keys ...

Wish the flies that keep buzzing around will get lost. ;)

@ShaWiz You know... Getting an electronic fly swatter will do more than wishing ;)

8:03 AM
meh... office is open space, it's too big.
But when we clean up it gets better.
(the room, from food leftovers and coffee cups)

Yeah. Sounds like it may need cleaning then

ATM it's fine. But those flies can arrive any moment.
One coffee cup in nearby desk, but totally empty so it's not attracting flies. :D
!!/blame @Shree for sleeping
hmm...

:D

@ShaWiz Oh, then my desk is more messy at the moment. Nothing food related here though ;)

@Tinkeringbell well my desk got waffles, but closed inside container.
And the Shekels Mug

2 hours later…
10:14 AM
@JourneymanGeek someone appears to troll close flags, targeting Sonic and Glorfindel legit questions. Worth taking a look?

@ShaWiz @JourneymanGeek I know that one... I'll clean the queue. They're already suspended :/
I'll keep an eye on it, they'll the flag ban eventually ;)

@Tinkeringbell oh they cast it before? Didn't notice the queue indicator.
Wait... suspended user can flag???
If so, they shouldn't be able to.

Scratch that...
I got the timestamps wrong ;)
They can't raise more flags ;)

10:29 AM
oh
Good, otherwise this answer would be wrong: meta.stackexchange.com/a/125271/152859

Yeah, sorry. I should've said I had already handled that user! :P

> They will not be able to accept an answer, award a bounty, or use any of their previously earned privileges.
:)

@ShaWiz ah sorry
Workking today and I got saddled with a thrio of off cases I didn't know who to foist off to
I hate doing helldesk

Being able to flag while suspended is like being able to harass random people while in jail.
It's quite obvious the suspended user will abuse the flags. Most of the times.
@JourneymanGeek all good parrot jumped into the wagon :D

10:49 AM
@ShaWiz They keep harassing the wardens though
Or they can be Stallone and get out of prison and explode the warden by saying "BOOM".

@Marshmallow tru dat

11:00 AM
!mood|boom!

Mood boom is when people's questions get downvoted
0
A: Each close vote should punish the caster by taking away some of his reputation

Glorfindel This is extremely unfair and I know that the contrarians do it because it costs them nothing. Can you prove this? I (and I think most users) do it because I want to make my voice heard in a democratic voting process where the community identifies questions that duplicate existing content, ar...

@Glor's like an instant Feed for interesting or bizarre experiments on meta sites.
Was the hardwarerecs experiment because there are not enough close voters, or that there's too much OT? @ArtOfCode
Which is the same thing really. Depending on how you look at it.

@Marshmallow yes
@Marshmallow the best part is at this point, the worst thing you can do to the OP is.. upvote the answers

@JourneymanGeek gr8, thx. i will accept ur asnwer sir

Actually both
I think SR has the same rules too

Shotguns. We should do away with our lame P250 pistols too, and grab 'em shoutguns.

11:14 AM
@Marshmallow AQW send those users to HR/SR... and there are not enough close voters...

Shoutgun? BRB heading to meta
I was gonna say "this guy sounds familiar [link to profile]" but I saw them suspended
I wish people had more productive uses for their time than posting unpopular opinions on meta and shouting at the screen. Presumably.
And chatting on a probably empty chatroom.

Hmmm. So, crochet?

You crochet, I read meta rants

Pff, crochet is for los... no, crochet is fine. Just fine ... #saved

@Marshmallow I actually sometimes to both, simultaneously ;)

11:23 AM
@Bart Los Anglesers?

... suuure

I crochet the meta

@Marshmallow :) I'm actually not sure if I saw this on the site itself (I'm flagging lost soul questions there now and then), but experiments like those are often announced in the Teachers' Lounge as well.

Nah... I can't crochet, but I can meta...

@MetaAndrewT. I wonder what a crocheted meta would look like ;)

11:32 AM
Probably as knitting work ....

Like a ball of yarn after a kitten has played with it for hours.

@Tinkeringbell A disgusting otherworldly creature with murderous tendencies

@Bart Oooh! Untangling yarn can be fun and relaxing though :)

A pokemon

@Tinkeringbell and that's why you are a mod.

11:34 AM
@Bart Because I have the patience to untangle yarn? :P Nah. That can't be it.
There's a Facebook group of people that help others out with untangling 'yarn barf' though. I was thinking of those people, they like doing it so much, that people can send their tangled yarn over and they'll untangle it, then send it back!
Unless that's an elaborate scam, to get free yarn.

I think I untangled the OP in this one: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/331632/…

@Tinkeringbell that's weirdly awesome

@Tinkeringbell . . . which will be used for . . . world domination

@Marshmallow Hey, there's plenty of uses for yarn ;)

12:11 PM
@Marshmallow that's you. Cats are far worse 😁

@JourneymanGeek HEY
I might be disgusting but I'm not otherworldly
And you seem biased.
You're Will Ferrell's Sherlock and cats are Harris's Moriarty

Great... I got serially upvoted now...

Don't admit to it!

12:42 PM
I admit that I tried to serially upvote myself with this same account...

12:55 PM
^ ban pls

1:26 PM
@MetaAndrewT. did I hear serial upvoting? hones in

shoo shoo

2:34 PM
@MetaAndrewT. shoe?

hm
meta.stackexchange.com/posts/331546/revisions I kinda want to rollback the last change, and change stack exchange back to stack on Peter's edit....
eh, done

well, you take the blame on Meta then ...

!!/blame

@MetaAndrewT. It's Adam Lear's fault.

huh!?

probably legit ....

4:00 PM
@JourneymanGeek It's possible that Peter uses a semi-automated script to edit posts; he's published the tool he uses for editing
And yes, it appears according to his editing rules list that "stack" and "Stack" map to "Stack Exchange".

@Marshmallow the latter

the latte~

@ShaWiz squashed
@SonictheAnonymousWizHog and gone

5:00 PM
@JNat thanks!

5:13 PM
stackoverflow.com/users/1114/distressed - "Currently abstaining from meta due to legal threats from Stack Exchange Inc.". Seriously?

Given that user's... interesting past, I actually could believe that.
"trying to hack the site" certainly might get you a legal warning.
But... probably best not to dwell on it too much.

"interesting past"?

Oh, now we have your attention ;)

meh

The user in question is in this chat room ;(

5:32 PM
Well, the army thinks I'm intelligent. I got essentially "top marks" for intelligence, with a couple points off the final score I assume because of my command of the language.

and suddenly gone

@Mithrandir are you intelligent?

Apparently some people think so.

Then it must be true

...I'm bad at math. Make of that what you will.

5:41 PM
2+2=6

5:54 PM
@JourneymanGeek Would this be appropriate for SU? meta.stackexchange.com/questions/331643/…

6:51 PM
@NicolBolas I will assume you speak in general for the Stack Exchange philosophy and I will assume you guys know better than me and so I will stop advocating for my idea. — BalancedTryteOperators 5 hours ago
Dayum. No rage quits?
I think every meta user should have a healthy dose of one of these people everyday.
More effective than yoga.

7:09 PM
quit rage

@Marshmallow Time to hit the purge button!!

@Tinkeringbell not the question?

@MetaAndrewT. Nah, just the comments... some of them weren't very nice. And none of them suggested anything that should be added to the answer ;)

@Marshmallow our comments are safe...

Phew. Time to be mean to someone.
@Bart your glasses are dirty.
@rene your pollens cause severe allergies.
@Sha everyone is afraid of your shadow.
@Marsh Theory of Everything was boring.

7:22 PM
@Marshmallow your marsh is too mallow

THAT DOES IT
Quits ragequitting outrageously

7:45 PM
I consider it a feature, sometimes I'm reading a post that gets deleted and the post gets greyed out before I finish, so I click a link, then hit the back button on my browser, and the deleted post is there and not getting removed automatically. But that's just me. — Davy M 3 hours ago
See, rant love is everlasting.

@PeterMortensen - "Tweet" in the Twitter sense gets capitalized

@Mithrandir Usually I see it used in lowercase, even if it's a proper noun
Actually, wait, Twitter's branding guidelines page uses it in uppercase form. So your version is correct; Peter's editing rule list needs to be modified.

10:04 PM
@SonictheAnonymousWizHog it's probably best fit

@JourneymanGeek Thanks! If you wouldn't mind answering?

Eh. Maybe but I just woke up
