Q: My id was stolen can i still board my flight?

daisy rodriguezI am traveling to puerto rico from new jersey on january and someone stole my id, credit cards and social. And the only items i have right now are A police report of all my document being reported missing My school id Credit cards in my name. A copy of my missing id My school transcript with my...

Meh. That one seems pretty obviously for travel.

I guess. Worth migrating?

Q: December 2019 photo competition: "Winter or near winter public holidays"

gparyaniThe theme for the December photo competition is "Winter or near winter public holidays". I'm looking for photos that depict a public celebration of a holiday that is celebrated either during the winter season proper, or in the 6-8 weeks leading up to the winter season. Examples would be a large...

@JourneymanGeek probably a duplicate? Not sure. Iโ€™m pretty sure the answer is yes. It takes extra screening but you can generally fly domestic without identification.

In that case I guess fixing up and punting over might be an option

It definitely needs grammar improvements, but yes, it's on-topic for Travel.
@Catija That's not entirely true. When coming from some U.S. territories (e.g. Guam), you do need proper identification as you'll have to go through customs. (Not sure about Puerto Rico though.)

I said โ€œgenerallyโ€...

True
I ran into this once, but not on a flight, on a train. Apparently they verify everyone's info with the TSA and I had lost my ID in the airport I previously flew in from. It took a lot of convincing to get the agent to accept my two forms of non-picture ID.
Thankfully, my parents were flying to the same destination a few days later, so they were able to pick it up from lost-and-found and bring it there, and I used it to fly back.

@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog That pattern looks like it's already caught by Potentially bad keyword in body and Potentially bad keyword in answer; append -force if you really want to do that.

Q: What is a statistically significant number of up-votes?

Joel BerkeleyUp-votes and down-votes are intended to indicate whether the Stack Exchange community feels a particular answer "is useful". How many up-votes does an answer need for those up-votes to be statistically significant? For example can I rely on an answer with one up-vote? And with 100 up-votes? If...

While I don't agree that it's opinion-based as I've had some experience with statistics and "statistically significant" does indeed have a concrete meaning, I do think it's too broad, though, as it doesn't specify which specific site, and even if it did, the answers would probably be too long.
I had the opportunity to cast the final close vote, and why I could have voted it as "needs more focus", I chose not to vote since four others had already voted for "Opinion-based", which would override it.
The review guidance also says to review "Leave Closed" on questions that should still be closed for any reason, even if the current close reason is wrong.

Rob
It says reopen(2) on the question. I noticed that you were interested, it has a leave closed do it may need more than three; I was looking for a hammer too.
I have an answer, that while long isn't huge.

A "Leave Closed" outcome doesn't remove existing reopen votes. Also, three such reviews will dismiss the task.

Rob
@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog Also, recycle your photos! Submit them to Photography.SE Weekly Photo Contest too.

@Rob I didn't take part in this month's Travel photo contest since I was hosting and judging it, but I do have quite a few photos I took on film and scanned that I might submit there.

Rob
You judge on Photo.SE too, because you upvote (only, no DVs) any other photos of your competitors; as they do with yours. Highest voted each week wins, is featured Front Page on the site, and removed from the list - you could enter today and win this week or in a few months (maybe never).

@KitZ.Fox good for you! Still in hot chocolate phase? ;)
@V2Blast better than left... ;)
@M.A.R. he might also be curved
@RobertColumbia but why keep the avatar? From what I read, SE offered Monica to get back as mod, she refused. Which makes total sense, I also don't want to be a mod in such a place.
@M.A.R. don't see any troll? Just another high(-ish) rep user who got frustrated and rants a lot, probably. And what thread you wasted time on?

Hmm I noticed there's no link to the "posts/#/revisions" page (which shows actions) when the question isn't actually updated.
for instance, you can go to meta.stackexchange.com/questions/341110/who-is-monica-cellio and see that it was closed as a duplicate, but because it hasn't actually been edited, there's no link to meta.stackexchange.com/posts/341110/revisions (which contains information on who marked it as duplicate among other things).

@DavidA It's a little annoying, but here's a workaround. Click on the edit button, then replace the word edit at the end of the URL with the word timeline. Then hit Enter to jump to the Timeline page for that question.
Dec 21 at 17:40, by Yaakov Ellis
Timeline is in the process of getting a makeover and will also be made more accessible

Uh oh... "Accessible" in modern parlance has come to mean dumbed-down.
That and "streamlined"

@DavidA In this case, I assume Yaakov means that we'll get some kind of button for it, rather than having to construct the URL by hand (or by userscript). Mods already have an icon for it, but they also see more info on the Timeline than normal users do.

Yeah.. "more accessible" can also mean "less rage-inducing", so I'm hoping for that definition.

But I'm in full agreement that "accessible" often means "easier for people who are clueless about computer stuff to use". I blame Apple. ;)

Modern UX is a far cry from this: socket3.wordpress.com/2018/02/03/…
Now it's all about what some UI-designer thinks will look good in his portfolio.

Can someone tell me what I missed here because I don't read anything about an actual suggested edit ban in that answer from Shog9. Lots of warning conditions, I give you that.

34
A: Is there a penalty for one's edit suggestion being rejected?

Jeff AtwoodNo, but repeated edit suggestion rejections from multiple users will cause your edit suggestion rights to be suspended for (n) days, where n is currently 7. Note that after a recent change, automatic rejections due to edit conflicts are ignored and won't affect the suggested edit ban mechanism. ...

Shog's answer does talk about RejectionsTillBanned
Or something like that.

@Tinkeringbell ah. I didn't see that.

@heather are you AY02?

@Tinkeringbell You had a cheese coma? How is that good?

@SonictheAnonymousHedgehog because it's not a literal coma ;) just one of those times you feel happy and full ;) like a food coma!

Ah, I've never heard that expression before...

Strong jeans aren't trending.

@Rob it's the whole 'dont throw stuff away' environmentally friendly movement ;)

hmmm]
They don't think the same when it's all hanging outta mah jeans :/

Rob
@Tinkeringbell The joke was that they did like the airplane taking off and ripped their jeans.
None of those are recycled, they are purchased pre-ripped or with the ass-zipper from the factory.
I prefer my jeans whole and intact, being a guy the ass-zipper is out!

@djsmiley2kindarkness XD
@Rob oh, me too! If I'm going to pay a lot of money for clothes, they better be intact!
I still don't get the joke though

@Rob judging by the lack of embarrassing underwear, that one is staged ;)

I totally am confused to why I was faux pinged
And I suspect I shouldn't click while walking the dog ๐Ÿ˜‚

Rob
@Tinkeringbell Here is a technical explanation, that is safe for and (in some cases) work related:
As for the other one, the dog may be unable to pee afterward.

Oh he never has trouble. Lately a little too much so
