Part of that is that people don't have that 'medical understanding' of autism that others have.... so if you'd tell them it was because you're a Virgo/certain myers-briggs type, they might understand and sympathize more easily ;)

So my brother had this little cactus, managed to let it die (no water :|). Puts the dead brown cactus corps on top of the washing machine with the intent to later take it downstairs and throw it away...

Mom decided to go do laundry, somehow the cactus probably got stuck to a piece of laundry and in the machine.

One wash cycle later and *everything* is covered in little pieces of dead cactus spikes :|

Often times my wife forgets to take out tissue paper from pockets, and all the laundry ends up covered in very small pieces of paper. Almost lost a shirt due to it, took more than hour to remove all the paper. :(

Oh, we know ;) I got him the cactus in the first place: It was christmas, and it had googly eyes and a christmas hat :D

He managed to keep it alive for a year or two... so actually he'd have been around 8 when it got in the laundry... and I would've been around 18 by then.

But it was cute seeing a 6 year old happy with something as silly as a 'christmas cactus'

@Tinkeringbell my 2.5 daughter takes anything her brother or sister give her and appear to love it, but it's clear she loves it only because they gave it to her. ;)
