I didn't call you Ano, just mentioned that name. And same way I can mention past names like Jeff, Oded, and any other, sorry but you can't tell me what to talk about.
If you don't want to ever see that name again, ignore me, and anyone else who might be using it.
(unless a message with it get starred, then it's a problem.)
It's your full right to not want to be called something, I get it, but you can't demand people to not even mention the name, or talk about past events related to that name.
@balpha we now have to deal with two accounts, operated by one user, that doesn't seem to be able to understand that they are annoying. @JourneymanGeek talked more then enough to drive the message home that we are not fond of the behavior. Not much changes though.
@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog let me put it this way. We've got 3 ROs needing to deal with mostly you, and we'd rather go back to dealing with cleaning up after smokey
@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog Yes, the fact that we constantly have to watch you, correct you, guide you, reprimand you without much visible sign it helps at all is a waste of my time. And stop deleting messages.
Let me see...your original request was for me to stop RPing, so I stopped, and made it clear that I stopped by using the words "now concluded". But my alternative account was kicked again, for saying "hello".
@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog because it loads the evidence on you that you're posting here only to disrupt. This is not a game between you and the RO's/Staff, this is a public chat room for everybody to join and discuss SE stuff. By you posting and deleting messages that can't be seen by all of the participants here makes you a seem like a jerk. Like it or not. You can try to reason that away but I guarantee you none will take it.
@JourneymanGeek Even when it's warm here, I don't really like bare feet. I always wear thin panty like socks. Just because it'll make me stick to the floor less
@JourneymanGeek :P I think if some dude showed up in a dress and high heeled sandals here, no one would technically be able to do anything against it? There's been some fun protests IIRC. Last year when it was hot bus drivers protested against long pants being required attire by wearing the skirts that female drivers are allowed to wear :)
(Oh wait, those were technically in France)
Ah well... I'm sure I've seen the same thing over here somewhere, I just can't find a source.
Good news: They found a 2000 year old Roman road near Utrecht. Apparently you can visit and take a piece home! Guess what I'm doing this weekend, I'm hoarding Roman road :P
room topic changed to Tavern on the Meta: MY GOD, IT'S FULL OF STARS AND BACKLOG! Wheel of blame link bolted on for your ease of use: jsfiddle.net/Ldvwp8uv/12/embedded/result [bug] [crickets] [discussion] [excuses] [support] [waffles]
Here too... I got soaking wet yesterday. I travelled from the east to the west Netherlands... at home it was sunny and fine, at the office it was pouring and thundering :/
My Logitec mouse RIP so I picked up one I found in a drawer. Now I remember why I put it away: It double-clicks by default. Trying to select text or snip a screenshot is impossible ...
@ShadowtheWelcomingWizard Nah. only a list of what is prohibited: no manufacturing details, nor when it was fisrt used / how / when it was banned / ...
Totally useless and that's probably why I was granted access without any questions asked.
I have a degree in Chemistry but never worked in the Chemical industry except for my first job, which was at the time "EDP-Production Liaison Officer" and would nowadays be called "IT support"
@OptimusPrime I haven't tried to update anything by manually doing a post instead of a get...
@ShadowtheWelcomingWizard Actually, it was the guy calibrating Photospectrometers, Gaschromatographers, reprogramming PLCs, using SQL on DB2 for any queries that the built-in IQF (Interactive Query Facility) on the IBM Mainframe coudn't do, program in PASCAL to glue everything together,
EEHLAPI (integration between OS/2 1.3-2.0 and said mainframe), ...
but any Chemist or Chemical factory worker (and not only their Managers) could always ask me anything.
Open door policy that I've maintained all through my career
@Fabby open door anywhere? Even when you were in toilets? :D :D :D
But yeah.... sounds like you were the "do it all" guy which is nice. Don't think workplaces got such people these days. Every employee is focused on their own specific role.
@ShadowtheWelcomingWizard Actually, now that you're talking about that, back when I was furbishing my flat, the toilet was the first thing I installed...
@ShadowtheWelcomingWizard I'm an old fart and the job just created itself as no one of the other EDP people (Electronic Data Processing, what IT was called before it became IT) knew anything about the stuff I was doing...
To me, that's one of the three signs of real love (If that one is already gross to you, the other 2 will be gross as well, so don't ask or I'll answer...)
