If the body of the question wasn't important, we'd get rid of it the way Quora did, though... If the title doesn't properly represent the body of the question, maybe that's what needs changing?
It should be both, you can't just read one without taking the other into account. Substantively though, the question body should be the significant source of material to be answered. Simply looking at a title and judging an entire post is doing a disservice to the content written in the question body.
@ShadowWizard The body directly conflicts the title here. The title asks for specific details about the algorithm; the body highlights a problem that this information may help to solve, and expresses a desire to resolve it without necessarily revealing the information itself.
@ShadowWizard my answer is deleted because three people pinged me on a weekend complaining that I didn't answer their question, and none of them were Aaron. That's orthogonal to the closure; I had stuff to do and didn't need the interruption.
I want you to either make the closure justified - by providing a canonical answer to the question you picked as an original - or reopen.
If you haven't reverse-engineered the answer-ban logic, and don't have any intention of doing so... Then I'd recommend the latter.
Almost no one hits answer bans. I can guarantee that none of you spent the weekend fighting with an answer ban. This whole thing stinks of pure boredom, so if you're that bored... Do something useful with it.
@Shog9 well, I followed a request to which I agreed, and looks like that even Sonic only followed existing close vote from someone else. So not sure who was more bored... ;)
@ShadowWizard You can't blame me for using your own power. Even though I try to exercise care towards such requests, in the end, it's all on you for using your Emerald.
@SonictheInclusiveHedgehog not sure enough on this and no time to check in depth. And I do blame Shog for making me forget to drink my night coffee, now it's cold. :P
