@user5389107 nope. Client side JavaScript AJAX request to the server, server get the request, hanldes it with server side VBScript code (i.e. classic ASP), and sends the result back, so the client side JavaScript can consume it.

If you answer enough homework questions, students may stop being assigned homework and have to pay attention in class

I know that I lucked out because I had SO to fall back on when I had shit teachers and no guidance in the company and was expected to complete projects within deadlines with no prior experience or training

The only thing I ever had to study for we're those tests where they want verbatim reaponses; all assignments involved stuff I knew well and could complete without a reference... While my classmates struggled

I agree that 'homework' of the sort people get in school isn't anything particularly great, but for the 'homework' (i.e. impossibly hard cry-yourself-to-insanity) problems we got in undergrad, trying to solve those questions were what made the courses so incredibly good at teaching physics and CS

not because I dislike the cause itself, I'm very much in support. But because I've seen what the immigration order post unleashed. That was one meta post. Clearly we have a pretty sizable contingent of contributors who are conservative and/or absolutely uninterested in even entertaining liberal causes
