@Ano We changed it on Jan. 17 for reasons I don't know/recall.
@Ano We changed to to 100 on Patents, 200 on Photo, 15 on Super User and 2 on The Workplace.
@JourneymanGeek My guess is that we use CC BY-SA, which is the same licence as Wikipedia. It's a bit hard to grasp making a profit when the company doesn't own the bulk of the content on the site. It's not the normal arrangement.

Hey @JonEricson :D Did you have a good weekend?

@JonEricson eh, maybe, but its hardly a secret.

Ano
2:53 AM
@JonEricson Are there citations on the respective per-site metas for the first two?

@Ano No idea. My guess is there was some problem with a post automatically going CW back with that happened.

Ano
@JonEricson How about citations for raising the CW triggers? Those work too, as I added a paragraph explaining that this was the old CW threshold so the citations make sense.

@Catija Technically, I'm still having it. ;-)

@JonEricson ... In the Tavern? Nah, you must have gotten bored ;)

Waiting for the kids bedtime so that I can watch a movie in peace.

Ah, what are you planning to watch?

@Ano The only place I can remember talking about it besides when we tested it on The Workplace is the blog.
@Catija Not sure. I started High-Rise last night, but I wasn't in the right mood. Maybe something more actiony?

I've watched the opening fight scene in Guardians of the Galaxy II more times than I've watched the entire film :D

;p
I have that on my list. but ugh.
I kinda need to sort out the current round of interviews first

It's really good. I just really love the opening fight scene with Baby Groot :D

3:10 AM
(which is a good thing, other than that I'm walking into an interview so secret... I DO NOT KNOW WHO THE EMPLOYER IS)
or where the job is.
or...

So, if we don't see you this evening, we should call the authorities?

I wouldn't even do it, but the place that contacted me, eh, they pay on time, ok, and typically don't fuss much
lol
its just odd
but ugh, this means 6 months of employment if it works out.
and I can't really say that's a bad thing. Assuming I'm even allowed to add it to my resume ;p

Is this the one that requires a clearance?

"6 months at <redacted> working for <consulting firm> through <staffing firm>
ya
lol
I think there's a bit more detail on TL?

Hmmm...

3:14 AM
I can guess a bit - but that gets even stranger

I'll be interested to hear about it later.

assuming Its something I can talk about ;p

Yeah... that's usually not how it works.

(though it would be hilarious to have a job so secret... you have no idea who you actually work for)

I don't know about that, but I'm sure that there are people with jobs that don't allow them to tell their families who they work for.

Submitted my nomination for Cooking.

@Catija yay

user315433
The election is not overflowing with candidates.

3:28 AM
@FTP its kinda quiet, yes

Cooking doesn't have a lot of meta activity... it's an old site.

(I checked my candidate score for fun - its ...5)
on SU it was 50, the newest mod was at 49... was missing the badge for... voting in an election I think

Mine would go up one if I'd put a bounty on something :P

user315433
Candidate score is out of 40 points.

pretty sure it was 50?
anyway I had all the score

3:33 AM
Nah. 20 for rep and 20 for badges.
> candidate score 28/40

ah I did 40 out of 40 then ;p

@FTP and least in theory either ads for SE careers and other ads. The fact that people are mildly freaking out... ;p

unlike facebook. Facebook is really a piece of sh*t when reporting securty stuff

@OptimusPrime much more focused team I suspect
facebook is too big to move quickly

@rene looks like it times out almost at the end of the traceroute, and there's no CDN

No. They're responding in just one day. But like dupe hammer, they have a big "intended behaviour" hammer and they're using it everywhere

12:38 PM
if its intended behaviour....

CVE-2017-????? A chicken sighted on Stack Exchange

shouldn't that be the right thing to do?

Facebook provides test accounts and a registered user can create any number of test account said that it can't interact with real account and also it can't be converted to real account.
I am able to create a real account from it and interact with other accounts. Reported it and they responded "actually this is an intended behaviour. We advice our testers not to use it in that way"
Another one is I am able to claim any email account by skipping verification. They said it is intended behaviour

hm
@rene looks like its back up ._.

@OptimusPrime probably a clue that they are aliens.
At this point, no developer from this world would expect people to act ethically online.

@rene Okay. For the record only: I didn't really notice your comments. I RC flagged it first, and waited until that flag was marked helpful; by the time I posted the above request my comment got 6 upvotes.

fair enough

I decided to do that for many of my future requests (wait until the flag is marked helpful, except blatant dupes that should be closed earlier), considering that there were a few cases (where I hadn't bothered to post a request here) where my RC flag was declined.
