Interpersonal Skills gets 8633 visits/day. The other 7 sites launched in 2017 get 3094 visits/day combined.

There's clearly a lot of people who think interpersonal skills are questionable

user315433
At the bottom of that list: Vegetarianism with 81 visits/day. I guess the how-to-diet internet space is oversaturated already.

@Michelle this take - and I've heard it a few times in this room - annoys me immensely.
jQuery is tiny.
Especially if you exclude the bits necessary to interpret selectors, which you can since most of them work well enough without it.
If you need to understand what some bit of jQuery-dependant code is doing... Read the library and you'll know.
Unless you can't actually read JavaScript, in which case the premise is shot to hell already since you'd be just as useless with that work-around clogged version written in 2009 as you are with the jQuery version.
Contrast with React, which is neither small nor pays much respect to the Dom on which it builds: in another 8 years, those examples are going to be utterly worthless.

Wow. What a deal. Why do they even bother?

user315433
Besides being annoying, this sort of pointless promotion surely carries some administrative cost, which I'm implicitly covering if I choose to go on with the purchase. Sweet.

Registering for a conference. First question: Do you plan to attend the conference? Yes/No/Maybe. "No, I just like filling out registration forms."

If I had an online stalker I would definitely ask the stalker to meet me. It would be really sad if the stalker declines ... also what if my hacker gets to read my emails before me? ... that is, if such a hacker existed in the first place ...

user202362
Also I used my own app & it crashed ... I am sad, my life has no meaning ...

@JourneymanGeek There are like a couple a week from my thresholds. Do you want me to write a meta post asking about it first?

And also, author assumes legacy stuff is always 1. worse 2. Gone.
Over strange eons, even death may die. But not XP systems running IE ...

@JourneymanGeek We still have every windows version from 95 upwards in use in my company

I remember the excitement when I installed Win32s and could play freecell in 32bits ...

Anybody using WebAssign these days? I avoided it for 7 years, but got roped in. The communication model is peculiar: messages from students go to an inbox that exists only on the site, with no email notifications for teachers. And even if you keep WebAssign open in a tab all the time, you still won't see new messages because apparently websockets are too complicated: it has to be F5...F5...F5...
