If you think about it, its true about most of the techie sites on the network

SO has been frustrating me lately. I always have a hard time getting questions answered. I feel like people aren't answering non-trivial questions as much as they used to.

That's apparently quite typical of a lot of powerusers of the sites

But as much as I don't want to accept it, I'm actually finding it not to be a good programming resource.

Well, at some point the SE model does lend itself to smaller problems

and SO's got a reasonable chance the right person dosen't see your questions unless they're watching the tag and curious enough I suppose

I don't have that problem on the other sites though. And more disappointingly, I didn't used to have that problem on SO (like, years ago).

For most people, this is a non-issue, but in principle as far as the answer ban is concerned, there's no difference between answers that were converted to comments and answers that were deleted for any other reason.

[status-not-maintained] AFAIR there is a button to toggle the state of extension, which changes said state per room, for the duration of browser session.

Feature wise, the closest you could get would be to just ignore one of the bots.
