maybe the chicken is in the town?
also, overtook @Catija for the week ;p

@JourneymanGeek Eh, that was yesterday, actually.

@Catija It was overnight for me ;p
or at least was updated some time after I checked

@JourneymanGeek Oh, no I noticed yesterday when we were chatting about how you rep capped from the chickens question.

oh, I didn't check after I noticed I had repcapped ;p

One more day of rep capping for you and not me and you'll lead the week ;)
Oh, wait, two days.

And it's not really a tag.

@CrazyIvan I decided against creating the "aggressive" tag. Seemed wrong somehow.

@JonEricson you'd want a "passive" tag too, and a "passive-aggressive" tag, and a "micro-agressive" tag...

Q: What to answer when people ask what I do in mathematics

BobThis is not really a math question, but I think that every mathematician and student in math (specially pure) struggles with this at some point. Why did SmokeDetector detect a post made seven years ago?

Rob
Question was edited

@gparyani Smokey is monitoring recently modified posts

@AndrewT. It was last edited in 2012; was a revision deleted?

@gparyani the question was edited just 15 minutes ago, thus Smokey scan all the posts inside, including the answers

Why is it implemented that way?
@AndrewT.

I'm not the developer though. But If I'm not mistaken, Smokey monitors global real-time feed, which only lists the questions, but doesn't differentiate the activity (new answer, edited question/answer, etc).

@JourneymanGeek OMG! I hadn't seen the dragon one.
@gparyani Because people sometimes add spam to posts, so we should be checking them? Also, I don't know that Smokey checked historical posts, so it's possible there's something old that got missed.

I didn't mean to add a link to your screenshot.... Why is it easier to make a screenshot, upload it to some external dodgy image sharing service, copy the url, paste it here, and linkify, instead of copy-ing your code, paste it in the posts, select everything and hit ctrl+k (if it was lacking four spaces in the first place)? I simply don't get it. If you want to be lazy then at least take the path with the least resistance. — rene 2 mins ago
