SO requires 4 del/rec.del votes in LQ, while on other sites 6. Seems some of them, like Elementary OS, could use a lower threshold too... I got 13 pending NAA flags there, the oldest is August 23 and still not reviewed.

A: Why does the reputation tab look weird?

This was caused by a user who has abused the system (quite unnecessarily) by accepting and unnaccepting answers for specific people. He has been suspended for 30 days now. The people who have lost rep will get it back when the recalc happens.

Is there a specific reason a CM first closes a post before deleting it? Or is the close vote automagic due to the delete vote?

Even then. When you find a vulnerability in a website, you report it privately to give them a chance to fix it. Responsible disclosure and stuff. And even then you only publicly report it after you've given ample time to fix it

And even then, you don't abuse it to make a point

Right, there is no automagic. Also depends on a CM, I think Shog usually just deletes.

I didn't follow closely. AFAIR there was some bug in rep processing when the events happened very quickly.

Probably just out of habit, but since the close and delete happens in same second I'm not sure. So maybe they have a special button which ordinary moderators don't have, e.g. "close and delete"

The chances that someone who's posting a programming question on Meta is aware of "recently deleted" link in the profile is pretty small. But sure, they may still be looking at the page (or have it in a tab) when the deletion happens.
