@Derpy If you didn't hear about it guess it is better this way... In a nutshell iOS 10 exposed too much of Fluttershy.
@Bart but not in Iceland....

@ShadowWizard if you mean the "differential privacy" setting, first - you can opt out. Second.. you should be the scared one.
The herd is already planning its move.
so, now if enough people start to convert "pizza" to the "pizza emoji" then everyone will start getting suggestions?
It will be nice to see @shadow face when by writing "shy" he will get a suggestion "Did you meant Fluttershy?"
Anyway, if any - I am more scared by the missing "allow apps downloaded from anywhere" option.

@Derpy 🍕

I mean, if they removed just the option, fine.

@Derpy no. I mean the new search for gif feature.
It should block uncouth stuff... But it doesn't really in certain cases...

@ShadowWizard I browse youtube. I have developed thematic blindness long time ago.

9:38 AM
@Derpy good for you! :)
@rene wow... speechless

@ShadowWizard you would say that it would be pretty easy for youtube to understand that if a new user is posting 300 playlists in a day, all with the same videos and all using a different combination of tags/titles that oddly include all top search words like minecraft, WoW etc..... that is probably results poisoning. They don't.
Order by date search have got VERY bad recently. You basically have to filter for "video" to disable random playlists clogging the results.

@Derpy yeah, from the little I have seen YouTube moderation is really bad.

@ShadowWizard I am starting to think they just react on flags and do no form or per-empitive filtering.

Do they check the flag validity, at least?

@JanDvorak well, considering the whole WITFU drama that is still causing its good share of problems... I wouldn't expect flags to be managed very consistently.

WITFU?

@Bart Where Is The Fair Use

If you are pushing the envelope, you must expect the envelope to push back

@Bart basically, a lot of reviewer were shoot down recently by mass takedown actions based on the alleged use of copyright contents in their video.

I'm indirectly pointing out the need for a hotness sort.
This site is 8 years old, right?

Serious question: why keep going on about hotness in this chat? Why not just take your concerns to an appropriate meta?

It is nearly impossible to supplant canonical answers of 8 years ago with new ones.

Yup

1:55 PM
Even when the facts have changed or better solutions have appeared.

No argument there, but that doesn't answer my question.

Because as long as I get vehement pushback here there's no way a meta post will be successful.

So you're essentially dropping by for a daily culture-shift check?

Plus, this is the crucible in which my arguments are refined.

Fair enough. It starts to feel a bit pointless though (to me at least). There's not much we haven't already said or discussed.

1:58 PM
Also, someone else might decide to write it up and take the hail of criticism away from me.

Embrace the hail

NealI have taken my original code from here and turned it into an es6 version of the same game. Any code review and critiques are useful. Here is a jsfiddle link to play with https://jsfiddle.net/maniator/4azoqbpv/59/ class OnListener { constructor() { this.events = {}; } on(event, ...

Or rather, when does it get shut down?

Haha

well, is that a possibility?

Anything is. If it doesn't really work out in the end, they could decide to scrap it. But I don't see that happening.
They seem rather invested in it

I wonder if this question has some point. If Triage were to force users to review the tags that they participate in most, perhaps some better results (more duplicates found, better categorization) would occur.

@Shog9: We have a user that is abusing username changes and multiple accounts to continuously troll Super User's main chat room, Root Access, as well as to circumvent a chat suspension. Can you look into it?
