The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea
   In a beautiful pea-green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five-pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
"O lovely Pussy! O Pussy, my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
         You are,
         You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!"

Pussy said to the Owl, "You elegant fowl!
   How charmingly sweet you sing!
O let us be married! too long we have tarried:
But what shall we do for a ring?"

user202362
@tchrist Why did they go to the sea in a pea green boar with plenty of money? Are you sure that they were not on a cruise? There are very few places in the total wildness where you can spend your money.

I see a lot of things every day, but unless I am paying attention, most of the things escape my attention ...

user315433
Hm... A Public Safety officer stopped by my office to warn me that the undergrads are still in the elated/inebriated state; better be careful out there. (On the roads mostly)

3:12 AM
@404 The expression I used was geared toward avoiding false positives on SO; I simplified it considerably.
Should catch more of these now; they can, of course, still work around it as they have been with enough trial and error.

user315433
Right... all the regexes just tell them "try something else, this isn't working" :/

user315433
Suggestion: failed check = 30 minute block for that IP.

@Shog9 Did you implement the cross-site rate limiting we discussed in here a few days ago? Should I make a feature-request to track it?

@JeffreyBosboom you can make a feature request if you like

Considering the majority of FRs posted around the network, this is reasonable.

Some FRs on mSE are decent... especially that one about roomba'ing rejected migrations...

@bjb568 Sorry, but I had to flag this for mod attention. The GIF is 67.2 MB, large enough to be potentially disruptive especially for users on a metered Internet connection.

@bwDraco Bah, that's nothing.

which SE site can I ask for help in using github?

@bsapaka Depending on who you ask, it may be on-topic for Stack Overflow (as a "tool primarily used by programmers"); of those who say it's off-topic on SO, Webapps.SE is the commonly-suggested alternative. I'm pretty sure there's a Meta.SO question about this that might help, and maybe one over at Webapps.

@bsapaka I think questions about GitHub are on-topic on Stack Overflow as long as they meet all the other usual requirements. If your question is simple then asking it in the SO chat might make sense instead of asking a question on the site.

user315433
@JeffreyBosboom And as one of the most active WebApps users, I can tell that the advice to ask there is misguided. A nontrivial question about GH is assured of collecting dust on WA.

It sounded more like he hit the Big Red Button(tm) himself

@Quill yup
@404 I highly doubt it. More likely Jon triggered a process that spawned network wide suspension, and handled by Community account. As far as I know, even after 1000 posts deleted as spam, account won't be auto deleted or suspended. — Shadow Wizard 4 mins ago
