Not constructive.

@Shog9 If a user answer trolls a question which is about to be deleted (a spam or off topic/trolling question), would any downvotes that the user gets as a consequence still be counted even after the question is deleted? And if so do the downvotes carry the same weight as any other normal downvotes?

I think if the question is deleted within like 30 days of casting the votes they are reversed.

@MikeEdenfield It's a little more complicated than that, but that's the gist of it.

A: How does "Reputation" work?

Justin StandardWhat does Reputation do? As a registered user, your reputation on the site is a part of your identity on the site. It reflects, to an extent, your familiarity with the site, the amount of subject matter expertise you have and the level of respect your peers have for you. It can generally only be...

I thought it was 60 days

> Deleting and undeleting posts may reverse reputation effects as well, if these posts have votes. Actions previously taken on deleted posts cease to affect reputation within five minutes (source), unless the post meets both the following criteria (in which case the reputation effects will be permanent) (source):
- The post had a score of at least +3
- The post has been visible on the site for at least 60 days

How does chat-room have icon/picture?

/dev/chat is Unix & Linux chatroom, so it has a Unix&Linux stack exchange picture
Tavern on the Meta is a MSE chatroom, so it has a MSE icon
each chatroom doesn't have its own picture

Hmmm.... Right I found it for all chat.stackexchange.com/…

well, considering the cloudfare issues and DDOS tin-foiled rumors, it may be a good time to drop the troll question in the IT Security room....
"Does the chat onebox represent a security risk for users?"

3:51 PM
@Derpy Is it connected to the internet? Yes? Then it's a risk. BURN IT ALL DOWN!

@Andy Well, on a more serious notice, the policemen plugin seem to indicate that the request are made from the client, so basically onebox forces you to access cross site resources from another site. Considering that images have been used as an infection media and that even youtube felt to poisoned advertising once, the thing seem at least plausible.
It begin probable is a different story, and that is why the troll should be made on the security chat board.
They have to consider the improbable, so the discussion would get far more interesting there :P

Speaking of probable

@Ϻ.Λ.Ʀ. ? I would say that using that something is "probable" usually seem to imply that you consider it more likely to happen than something you just call "possible"

@Derpy Well, that's the ELU question of the month.

Possibly, it's probable to say that's plausible

That was from 2006... already 10 years ago

@AndrewT. ?

I'm cleaning my Hotmail account and found that email.

Yay, lemme guess. Thirty six thousand and two hundred and ninety two unread emails?

Close enough ;)
Oh wow... chain mails by friends >_<

@here can someone help me think of a better title for this post: stackoverflow.com/q/5874652/561731 as it is really a question of the difference between DOM properties vs attributes (vs what it was in the beginning which was a jquery question) and all of the answers answer basically what the diff is btw a property and an attribute. (and questions like this one: stackoverflow.com/questions/19246714/… were marked as duplictae of it)

@amanaPlanaCAnalPAnaMA well it is currently short and simple, which is good.
"When should I use .attr() and when should I use .prop()?" is more descriptive, but feels too long.
Anyway why the sudden desire to re-title, @ama?

5:27 PM
@ShadowWizard Because it seems very jquery specific don't you think?
People have tried to make edits on it to make it even more jquery specific...

5:46 PM
@amanaPlanaCAnalPAnaMA yes indeed, but can't see how being jQuery specific should affect the title?

@amanaPlanaCAnalPAnaMA there you go

Oh wait, @amanaPlanaCAnalPAnaMA you mean the title edit in Revision 20? It was wrong and useless indeed, but you also rolled back a good edit. Code should be part of the post itself.

@SmokeDetector ignore

@Braiam Post ignored; alerts about it will no longer be posted.

"see this fiddle" without having the code is wrong.

6:01 PM
Ugh I should not have brough it up @Braiam why did you make that edit? That is exactly what I did not want to do . rolled back...

@amanaPlanaCAnalPAnaMA because that's the title it should have...

@Braiam Why? That is very jquery specific. and that is not what the question is about (or the answers)
:-(

@amanaPlanaCAnalPAnaMA what matters is that titles should be... well, titles. prop() vs attr() is not a title, just a banner on a box ring

eh? I do not get the reference

I made the reference up just now
