hi @JNat

It's very annoying that the flag quality warning box doesn't link you to the effective page. There's nothing I can do to "review" that doesn't take up too much unnecessary time. I'd end up ignoring it, rendering the feature useless.
Maybe I flag too much.

Hi @JNat

7:54 AM
In my defense, most of them are marked helpful so I really have no reason to care about the declined flags unless I had a bad day and needed someone random to curse.
That's what they get for declining my flags.

On SO you'll find enough random users on a daily basis who deserves a curse or two so you'll be fine...

On that scale of a cursing routine, the mankind would go extinct.

Well, chem is a heaven. We only get 20 spams/year.

Yeah most sites aren't too bad, on electrical engineering where I'm most active there's probably only about 5-10 a week I see. Most of those are targetted though, things like electronic components and LED lighting not so much shoes / weight loss etc

Best new 25k micro-privilege: using kanji.

1:36 PM
@tchrist New awesome idea that will never get implemented: scale the rep privileges requirements to the site.

@SPArchaeologist It shouldn't either. Otherwise people on the edge of a privilege will slide in and out of privileges. Or, worse, someone who got a privilege today for having 500 rep keeps their privilege, but a new year (a year or so from now) has 1000 rep and still doesn't have that privilege because the site grew.

@Andy That’s like private beta to public beta to full site.
Even moderators are kanji-blocked. This is probably not a good thing.

@tchrist Beta to Full is a years long process though. It doesn't scale based on smaller intervals. Though, I do realize now that @SPArchaeologist never mentioned how frequently to scale.

1:59 PM
@Andy if after 7 years a non-beta site still has only 20 over 10k users, then you should reconsider your privilege scale....

I'm some kinda with @SPA on this one.
ELL has too many closers now.
Its size is twice chem.SE, and yet it hasn't graduated.
Every once in a while, we get something like this in the meta:
> Idiots! Don't close everything you can or can't answer!
With a less harsher tone.

that is the opposite problem, but yes, I get your point.

@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M Sounds like some discussions about what is and is not on topic needs to occur on meta and then the moderators need to whack people that are reviewing incorrectly.
@SPArchaeologist Ah. I can see that point.

@Andy The former has been discussed to death. The latter, doesn't happen often enough.
Well, ELL is a beta (which still amazes me) so it doesn't have review audits.

@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M But be grateful: on ELL you can't really have someone with mjolnir powers on very specific tags like "discussion"

2:06 PM
@inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M The latter needs to be fixed then. If the former has come to specific conclusions about what is and isn't on topic, why aren't the moderators listening to the community?

I don't think many sites have review audits, probably about half a dozen or so?
It's not related to beta status.

No, but they have reviews and moderators and stop users from participating in site reviews

@SPArchaeologist I already have 10k tools with 2k rep. Kinda boring.
@PeterJ I think I read that there are no way for betas to have audits.

But yeah, a lot of graduated thingies don't have audits too.
