JohnWhen a user loads my website in Microsoft Edge, I need to show a page like in the below image: I can see like this page when I'm trying to access sites like www.naver.com or www.daum.net on Edge. Is there are any function or usage for this?

crap question though

A: How do I show an error page when users visit my site using Microsoft Edge?

cybermonkeyIn my opinion you're going about this the wrong way, I know supporting new browsers may be frustrating, but you're only delaying work that needs to be done (in this case, supporting Edge when Internet Explorer's usage will be at a decline in the next few years). user259867
@UnicornsAreVeryVeryYummy :D You should have 10,000 requests instead of 300 now. Watching quota_remaining and backoff parameters is still recommended.

@NormalHuman 300? Couple of page loads eats that up quick

user259867
3:49 PM
What do you mean, couple of page loads? 300 requests, not 300 posts. A single request can bring back up to 100 questions.

@NormalHuman The question I'm doing has quite a bunch of answers, and it makes separate requests for each one. And I've been testing since this afternoon so 300 would be eaten up by now

user259867
@UnicornsAreVeryVeryYummy Well, then the solution is to stop sending separate requests... Your first request, for the question, can also return all answers to it if you change the filter.

@NormalHuman I can?

A: HIQ "very low quality" link

Shog9Remember that flowchart I posted when announcing the Triage queue? Geoff just drew in that last line. If you come across something in the Help and Improvement queue that's just... Painfully bad... You now have an escape hatch, a way to send it back into Triage for a second look. The VLQ flag ...

@U̶n̶i̶h̶e̶d̶r̶o̶n̶ read all of Shog's answer I posted

> if you think a question is poorly-written and worth closing, then just downvote it before you close-vote it.
Add "deleting" and that's exactly why the post was VLQ.

well do what you want, just don't complain when flag banned :)

Oh, speaking of flag bans, I'm getting more unreasonably declined flags than before now that @bluefeet is no longer a mod.

I personally only use low qual flag in HIQ or if the question is something terribly off-topic and crap like "How can I make Suzie like me and want to go out with me", or "lllllllllooolll I know how to post sa question on SO nowz, I'm awesome"

5:44 PM
So it's highly possible for me to get flag banned as long as mods keep drifting to decline without reading what I write.

user259867
A problem with VLQ on questions is that it's slow to be processed (because CV queue is large) and therefore ends up in mod queue instead. At this point the question is whether to mod-delete the thing (which is irreversible without yet another mod intervention). If it's not obvious that the question can never be improved, they won't do the irreversible thing.

@NormalHuman "Obvious" is subjective.

user259867
Sure, those are all judgment calls outside of skin care and such.

user259867
An idea: downvote the questions about development of spammy sites, so that the OP gets banned and the site never gets finished. >:D

Anyway, surely flags on posts that are delete-worthy but aren't obvious on first sight are likely to get declined because the mod thinks it doesn't warrant their time reviewing whether an irreversible action is worthy. In that case, forget about quality control because it's unlikely enough users with even the ability to downvote, less to voting to close or to delete, sees the post. Flags exist for this reason.

If there are not enough users to do X, then surely there are not enough mods for the same.

Only in this month (July), I've flagged 12 questions as VLQ outside HIQ. 6 was marked as helpful, with most of the posts properly handled. 5 was disputed and only one was declined, which was the post I linked. I don't see a / any point with arguments against using VLQ for posts that cannot be redeemed.

user259867
It's possible that my usage of "the same" has been affected by Stack Overflow.

@NormalHuman That's what mods are there for in the first place. A smaller part of the community doesn't have enough power, so you're flagging to attract attention to the parts of the community with the ability to take action (hence reviewing), and mods.
Really, moderating online communities in 2015 should be a full time job. The traffic and demand is so high that just goodwill itself won't cut it.
And someone a while back said we had enough mods.

Today's TIL...
Google Sheets scripting environment is based on JavaScript. Sweet.
JavaScript represents time as the number of milliseconds since 1970-01-01 00:00:00Z. Nice.
Google Sheets represent time as the number of days (possibly fractional) since 12/30/1899 00:00:00... in **local** time zone.
Adjust with new Date().getTimezoneOffset() ? Sure, except the timezone of a script running on a sheet is not necessarily the same as the timezone of the sheet itself.
