Q: The powerfullest ever mod, or: do we really need to display the gold badge icon after a user receives a diamond?

That's what happens if a user who is gold-badge-holder dupehammers a question and then finds somewhere a spare diamond: Looks great, I must say. But what's the need? I think that the badge icon should be removed then.

A user is engaging in an edit war on my post. I flagged the answer four hours ago, and it was deemed helpful, but the behavior continues. What's the proper way to address someone like this?

@SuperScript to be fair, when you get a lot of SO questions about a single topic, it's either one of two things: a) the users are inept, or b) something is broken or weird. This falls into b) since it was really easy with mysql_*.
