Did it work?

@AaronHall I like my old crappy questions. They're a nice reminder of how much I've improved over the years

@AaronHall Yeah.

@SterlingArcher Oh yeah man. I wonder if I can find the earliest record of something I wrote on the internet. This'll be fun.
tries to remember old email addresses and mid 90's AOL hax0r handles

coolkid69@aol.com?

A lot of it might be buried in old IRC logs. This could be rough.
I think it's all lost in time.

7:06 PM
Cool!

@JasonC This isn't 1400.

1991 might as well have been.

Hey how's your friend with that time machine thingy?

I am talking to him now, he ran into some trouble tomorrow but said he'll be fine once yesterday rolls around.

Heh
I found some stuff from 2003, apparently I was relatively sane by then. Disappointing.
Man the Devshed forums have really lost their character over time.

Erm, do you consider yourself to be sane now? O.o

The operating term there is "relatively".
I am getting nostalgic for writing Windows message handling procedures.

2002, still not stupid enough.

7:24 PM
@bjb568isakat cool

@JasonC Stupid as comparing to what?

Now.

:D
What a great time to be @Jason's friend :3
hugs forcefully

Oh man my cell phone # and parent's phone # is totally on the internet, if you know one of my old email addresses.
Or if you just search for my full name and dig deep.

@JasonC Not surprising.
Jason Carbon?
Jason Carwash?
Jason Caffeine?
Jason Cardboard?
OMG I'm dying from curiosity.
Jason Cee?
Jason Coffee?

7:28 PM
jason Carboxyl?
Jason Cat?

Jason Corporation™? Jason Client? Jason Clinton? Jason Camping? Jason Crud? Jason Coughing? Jason Crashing?

Jason Confused?

Oh in 2001 I was confused about writing "4-byte longs" to files with Java. The weirdness is starting.
Haha Jason Corporation, you have no idea.

Jason Not Corporation?

Jasoncorp is a pretty evil company.
This has been a topic of discussion among me and my friends many times in the past.

7:30 PM
Jason Construction? Jason Continued?

Mostly associated with the smoking of certain non-tobacco substances.
A friend of mine once made me a Jasoncorp branded coffee mug.

Jason Cramped?
Jason Coffee-mug?
Jason Cringing? Jason Crying? Jason Corpse? Jason Compound? Jason Carbenium?

I think the logo was a silhouette of the safety label guy with his head opened up and a marionette in his head or something.

Jason Carnage?
That must be it.
It rhymes.
Jason Creepy?
@Jason tell me I got it.

No but you've given me some good name change ideas.

7:35 PM
Jason Combustible

Jason Can't be bothered

Damn
Not much before 2001, a lot of archives stop there.
Now I'm sad.

That is logical if you consider that everything is now Y2K proof they can't do 1999 stuff

Ah well, I'm giving up. This is making me depressingly nostalgic.

7:52 PM
lol

8:16 PM
@JasonC good lord you're still looking?
It's been like 4 hours

Mods must be on vacation? Makes sense, I'm on vacation myself.

@SterlingArcher I gave up after two weeks of searching just now.

Given up by Jason -- Just Now

Speaking of time machines sort of
Would you rather be able to see infinitely into the future but only have 1 year left to live, or be able to live forever but never remember more than a week of your past?
(That was a "would you rather" that caused much drunken debate over the weekend)
(You would remember skills though, like you wouldn't forget how to talk or walk, etc.)

8:28 PM
So it's a conditional memory loss?
Like if I learned JavaScript, I would remember that but not having diarrhea in the park?

Yeah, sort of like the guy Oliver Sachs wrote about who couldn't remember more than a few seconds, but still had full memories up to a certain point in his life.

Or would I lose all skills learned besides that to live

So consider it like amnesia starting now.

I'd like to live forever. It's easier to live with yourself not knowing your past wrongs than to have a limited time to alter things paradoxically

@JasonC Who are you and what did you do to me?

8:30 PM
@bart if you are around, we they might going to bring back accept-rate, enough is enough

For instance, you would not know how your future change effected the future unless done, then by looking into the future again you can see if it was good or bad.

@Ϻ.Λ.Ʀ. Don't worry about the details. The butt pain will pass.

So I'd rather not remember and live blissfully forever than to kill myself knowing what is.

@rene You are? O_O
@JasonC What is a butt?

@Ϻ.Λ.Ʀ. sort of ...

8:32 PM
> He touched the butt

@SterlingArcher I like that. Personally I had trouble deciding. I really don't like that the universe will go on for so long after I die, so I picked seeing into the future and living for a year. If I always forgot my past I'd lose my appreciation for the progress.
@Ϻ.Λ.Ʀ. Don't worry about that.

@JasonC Don't worry about what?

@JasonC to each their own, but just remember: you'll see every instance of you shitting youself in public. Can you handle that?
CAN YOU

But on the other hand if I only had a year to live I wouldn't be able to experience as much of the future firsthand as possible.

@SterlingArcher Can you handle being always the annoying fun spoiler, as a poor guy with amnesia usually is?

8:34 PM
Uh, yeah, because give it a week and I won't remember having to handle it!

@SterlingArcher I would be disappointed if I could see the future and did not see myself shitting my pants in public. I'd have to try things to change that.
Public pants shittery is hilarious.

@SterlingArcher Handle what?

All I can picture is a ragged beareded man trying desperately to track the conception of the moment that leads to his public shittering
@Ϻ.Λ.Ʀ. handle being the spoiler
> Was is the nachos..?
> I must know!

I saw one of those on a 93 honda yesterday
shit was so cash

8:38 PM
@SterlingArcher Oh hell, is that a meme now?

Most definitely

Hmm. So I just noticed the pinned message...
That's nice. :)

@SterlingArcher No you didn't.

Did... did you pin me ._.

Well yeah but I would have assumed it would have been gone by now lol

My favorite is the pointless roof scoop.

It's like the --funroll-loops of cars.

I'd like to see more statistics on our account impact number
Like how rep has a graph -- it would be cool to see date spikes and stuff

@Quill-HATMANIAC You broke the tavern.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm about to clean my house and I'll be chuckling/facepalming the whole time.
chucklepalming
Why do I always feel so bummed out when an answer to one of my questions outscores my question?

11:25 PM
@JasonC You ain't nothing Jon Jason C

@JasonC To counterbalance feeling so cheered up whenever your answer to someone else's question outscores their question.

@tchrist Yeah but that bums me out too. Everything bums me out. Sigh.....

@JasonC Love how the hat color contrasts with the sunset in the sky.

user202362
hilarious ...

11:34 PM
You must be new here.

user202362
Being called a newb indirectly, how lovely. Can I ask stupid questions now?

Of course. Stupid questions are a right, not a privilege.

user202362
I would like to know, do you get depressed when it's cold & cloudy?

user202362
And is that a poodle in your avatar?

Cold & cloudy alone doesn't depress me. Like a cold, cloudy fall day surrounded by nice trees and the smell of fall, I love that. Short winter days kill me though.
And it's a giraffe.
Executing a destructive combo move, which you should be very afraid of.
