Would you rather be able to see infinitely into the future but only have 1 year left to live, or be able to live forever but never remember more than a week of your past?
(That was a "would you rather" that caused much drunken debate over the weekend)
(You would remember skills though, like you wouldn't forget how to talk or walk, etc.)
Yeah, sort of like the guy Oliver Sachs wrote about who couldn't remember more than a few seconds, but still had full memories up to a certain point in his life.
For instance, you would not know how your future change effected the future unless done, then by looking into the future again you can see if it was good or bad.
@SterlingArcher I like that. Personally I had trouble deciding. I really don't like that the universe will go on for so long after I die, so I picked seeing into the future and living for a year. If I always forgot my past I'd lose my appreciation for the progress.
@SterlingArcher I would be disappointed if I could see the future and did not see myself shitting my pants in public. I'd have to try things to change that.
Cold & cloudy alone doesn't depress me. Like a cold, cloudy fall day surrounded by nice trees and the smell of fall, I love that. Short winter days kill me though.
And it's a giraffe.
Executing a destructive combo move, which you should be very afraid of.
