can anyone remember me why dots in python regexes need to be escaped twice?

user259867
4:01 AM
@Braiam Need \. to make dot taken literally in regex (as opposed to special regex character). But if a regex is formed from a string, need to escape backslash itself, so that it is taken literally.

user259867
The latter is not necessary if the string is a "raw" string, str = r"ab\.c" works.

@LynnCrumbling well, technically forEach is an ES5 prototype method
But it's even better with Array.from()

Oh. <- looks stupid now.
:)

Like I wrote an ES6 version of TravisJ's percentage of votes userscript using it
var sum = 0;
Array.from(document.querySelectorAll("span.vote-count-post")).forEach(key => sum+=Number(key.textContent));
Array.from(document.querySelectorAll("span.vote-count-post")).forEach(key => {
	var x = document.createElement("div");
	x.textContent = ((Number(key.textContent)/sum)*100).toFixed(3)+"%";
	key.parentNode.appendChild(x)
});

() => {console.log('Arrow');}

the java command is literal cancer
RUN THE DAMN FILE, why do I have to tell you what it is in 5 different ways and then all you do is guess?

I can give you a file path, but you don't want a file path.
Absolutely braindead.
javac *.java
this is the simplest thing ever
But how do I then run the complied stuff?

java MyMainClass

that ^^

No .class extension

2:50 PM
or is it a jar?

java -jar MyJar.jar

java -cp ../ bin2dec/Main
This works.
Completely random.
@UNICYCLEZRDEBESTINDEHERE this is what should work.

Oh you need classpaths?

I guess.
