@ShadowWizard well... First, I just wanted to use the built in SPUrl function - I just needed to replace the siteCollection token to avoid the need of using relative urls.

Second, that was a css file. No codebehind - just abusing an httpHandler to get it "compiled"

Third... didn't come to mind - I use angularjs so even my view has little codebehind.

That said.... it would be a nice experiment. A css file with a codebehind... writing the css rules with Response.Write(...)

@Undo the situation is quite complex (processing, memory requirements, etc.) So when trying to establish a decent set of needed features and estimated billing to clients it tends to get tricky.
