Dear god that is hard to read. — ThisSuitIsBlackNot 59 secs ago
It's one of those times when I want to create an account named God.

9:25 PM
@jcolebrand Dumb question time: how can I specify both a string, and a format (i.e. date("Y-m-d H:i:s", "updated at 3:29:48 PM EDT on 4/7/2014")?

9:41 PM
are you trying to interpret it?

... what do you mean?

@BlueIce go on, I have friends that like to blacklist accounts and render the emails associated with them useless. Except their algos are generally smarter than you, and tend to do things like block IP ranges, etc.
@hichris123 are you trying to interpret a string into a date?

@jcolebrand Yeah.

@hichris123 and what's it not doing?
@BlueIce the point is that useless novelty accounts aren't seen as a boon around here
This isn't twitter

@jcolebrand I know, don't worry about it :) I'm not actually going to make the account- it was just a silly idea.

9:44 PM
@jcolebrand Give me a sec. I'll give you the exact string it formats to, but it has a lot of unnessecary info. I just want Y-m-d H:i:s.

@hichris123 do you know it will always have "updated at" and " on " in there?
because I would say do this:
$pass1 = str_replace("updated at","",$input)
$pass2 = explode(" on ",$pass1)

@jcolebrand We are not very serious in here. It's probably not a good idea to take me seriously in chat :)

$pass3 = $pass2[1] + " " + $pass2[0]
@BlueIce I am serious, and I've been in this room a long long time

@jcolebrand Yup, your preference. I'll keep that in mind.

@BlueIce you might look at this server's chat history for usage for all time, and know that I'm only behind employees (Rebecca used to be an employee)

9:49 PM
@jcolebrand In number of posts?

@BlueIce in number of chat messages

@jcolebrand Hmm... trying to remember: were you the founder or was Chacha?

@jcolebrand Yeah, that's what I meant

@hichris123 well, chacha was room owner before me, but I think even he was made owner by someone before him
And he never comes around anymore it seems

He comes around occasionally (once in the time I've been here).

9:52 PM
@hichris123 does my pass1/2/3 stuff make sense?
I'm going afk so just read it and ruminate on it and remember I don't write PHP so I'm taking a stab without interpretation but it should run just fine.

@jcolebrand Yeah. I'll try it in a few minutes/an hour. :P
@jcolebrand Weird, pass1 & pass2 work fine, but pass3 returns 9.
Pass 2 is Array ( [0] => 5:49:29 PM EDT [1] => 4/7/2014 )

well, I don't rightly know how it expects you to parse arrays as strings and join them with a space. Maybe try replacing my + with .
$pass3 = $pass2[1] . " " . $pass2[0]

heh, the LQP review queue is being filled up D:

@Braiam Yeah, I remember one day a couple weeks ago when it got up to 100-something posts.

man, I'm so glad it roll up to other sites

Q: Run two server software in the same time ? Why django-fab-deploy doing this way?

CuGBabyBeaRI want to deploy Django on my RaspberryPi. After googling, I found a one click installing tool here. To figure out how it works, I read the setup.sh and found that it is a installer of nginx and django-fab-deploy. Then I went to google django-fab-deploy, here is the doc site. the project i...

Unsure what to do with this one.
Either the guy is asking in the general sense why Apache + nginx.
In which case I believe it is a dupe.
Or he's asking about why django-fab-deploy wants Apache +nginx, in which case he's asking for a citation from the doc or for us to read the dev's mind.
@Braiam I saw your comment on that question but I'm not sure how that helps the OP. The reply that comes immediately to my mind is you can run nginx with uwsgi (for instance, or gunicorn) so who cares if mod_wsgi is not available for nginx?

@Louis I'm not trying to help, I'm just stating the facts ;)

Ok....

Could someone try creating a query on data.se and see if it runs?
I click run query, get no errors, but get no results either.

@TimStone, looks like Data.SE hates Firefox again today. Chrome works, Firefox isn't displaying results properly.

@jmac worked just fine
you sure isn't your query failing?

It isn7t the query @Braiam. It's FireFox.
The query works fine in Chrome, but doesn't pop up the results box in FireFox after running.

@jmac link?

(I did this on The Workplace, would recommend against running it on SO or equivalently large site)

running in AU, is taking a while
