Q: Should StackOverflow run a programmers' matrimonial service to prevent marriage-fraud?

Kailash AgrawalMy question may seem a little odd and long, but my grievance is genuine. And I hope the top-moderators and owners of StackOverflow would consider it.This is related to StackOverflow but not a direct programming-related question.I posted it in Meta but seems like people are not available there to an...

Hmm. Community wiki status was removed from this question, but that didn't cause it to be removed from the answers. So now it's a non-CW question with all-CW answers. Expected behaviour or not?

The relevant FAQ suggests that community wiki status may be set directly on all answers when the question hits 30 answers, so perhaps the status of the question was not linked to that of its answers. This also may have been caused because the question was CWed for having too many editors before the thread was CWed for having 30 answers.

If it is the later I'd call it a bug, since the order of CW-triggering events on the original post shouldn't affect whether its CW-status is linked to its answers, but I'm not sure if that's what happened.

Hmm, how do you know it was removed?

I flagged and asked a moderator to remove it. :P

I got what I literally requested, which was not what I expected.

Ah, I couldn't remember if it hid the initial wikification in that case.
I think it's intended behaviour that the answers weren't un-wikified, but I'm not sure.
Unwikification isn't used very often and permanently suppresses rewikification, so I imagine limiting it to single posts at a time is the path of least destruction. Of course, since it's not commonly used it could also just be an overlooked bug like you said. :P

I'm currently hovering at 2999 reputation here. I just can't quite find it in me to answer one more question to be able to close/open question... Sigh. My SE self is slacking this month...

There's nothing like posting you are just shy of a major reputation boundary to get people to upvote your old posts:-)

That's only because it's too much work to downvote you notably far away from said rep boundary.

Traditionally I do downvote people who do that, but that sounds like work

@MichaelMrozek You're right. Might be easier to find a couple other people to maliciously spam-flag some of his posts instead.
