<!-- TODO FIXME: This JS block is included once per candidate! -->
Oh those Stack Overflow devs.

@jadarnel27 The election page has some awful markup and code
I know because I had to scrape it.

Heh, no kidding - I bet you are painfully familiar then! I'd never peeked behind the scenes until today, and notice that.

@TimYiJiang sheds tears

3:41 AM
Sometimes I wonder if the poor markup on SE is just another layer of defense against scrapers

Hah :P

4:04 AM
@TimYiJiang Well that's gonna be my new excuse, regardless.
"Josh, why does this markup look like it was written by Dreamweaverâ„¢?"
"I...uh...security, sir or madame!"
"OH! Good. Here's a raise."
(I started to go with, "Why does this markup look like it was written by a graphic designer?" on that first line, but didn't want to offend anyone)

Hahaha. I find it humorous when I tell people I use Dreamweaver, and they go "Oh, so do I!" Then supplement my statement with "only the coding view though" and they just respond "oh..." - Probably a pretty expensive thing to use as only a code editor...

4:25 AM
Haha, nice.

8 hours later…
12:38 PM
ugh, play -> playback synonym == lots of questions tagged

12:52 PM
Fixed. And I didn't even use all of my close votes on the off-topic ones.

3 hours later…
3:47 PM
@Wooble Well spotted.

I'M LOOKING FOR A NEW APARTMENT, DO YOU KNOW OF ANY PLACES UNDER GOOD PORTERS OR BROWN ALES?

On the off chance you're visiting this room and live under a frock:
...ewww. Stop that.

@jadarnel27 apparently we have differing definitons of frocks?

I had never even heard of the word frock before...

I believe it used to refer to men's clothing first, then became generic, but I could be wrong.

7:30 PM
@jadarnel27 I can't believe you didn't take the opportunity to go with bock before me. When do you ever pass up a chance to say "brown"?

He's sick; very, very sick...

Woo, ancient-post-rep-trickled my way to 7k!

@PopularDemand Congrats!

Heh, thanks, because 7k is the huge milestone I'm making it out to be.

I hear it's the midpoint between 6k and 8k
I like this site: notepad.cc/lathoma13 or is it notepad.cc/share/fsUEIGzdv4 :D

7:50 PM
@PopularDemand 7k was the threshold in the first SO election. Of course, at the time, there were maybe 50 10k users

8:12 PM
Not complaining at all, but you seem to be in here more often lately, @mmyers. High SO flag volume got you drinking more?

@PopularDemand Where better to talk elections? Besides, the flag count is only 175 right now, hardly worth mentioning
...wait, what do you mean by "not complaining at all"?

Just trying to ward off "what do you have against mmyers" comments.

@mmyers Well, there's the multiple rooms on chat.SO dedicated to it, but nobody likes going there

8:43 PM
i can't figure out where to propose a feature for stackexchange websites?

YES
thank you!!!

Beware: it's already been suggested.

preemptively votes to close

Ooh, that's a new power!

8:46 PM
...goes off to suggest that the WebSockets server be used to stream in-progress feature requests and bugs to a review panel for preemptive close voting.

Hahaha. Fantastic.

I have a FR in to allow preemptive migration rejections

"Someone has cast a close vote on your question before you were finished typing. Are you sure you want to continue?"

@jadarnel27 When you have a half-diamond, you can sometimes pull out unusual powers from the exposed core.

@PopularDemand Ah, good point =)
@PopularDemand Thanks for carrying the torch on that one. I don't know anything about types of beer. I wouldn't know a Bock from a...uh, the other types.

8:50 PM
@TimStone If that's anything like the other notification banners, the standard reaction will be "oh crap, better post this as-is before it's completely closed instead of just single-close-voted."

@jcolebrand Nope.

Anyone going to GDC later this month?

@PopularDemand Good point. Better to derail them with distracting unicorns instead.

As long as the awful questions get answers before they get closed, why should OP care that it's getting close votes?

I got a thrill out of being able to sort-of-justify my first double-self answer. :P

9:04 PM
@jadarnel27 then why wouldn't you want to live under an inhabited one?

@jcolebrand Sure, it seems like it might be nice. But it would just wind up being sweaty, not roomy enough, and generally unpleasant.

lol

@Fosco I think about it every year, but they never hold it in my back yard so I never end up going.

I moved 2 blocks from the Moscone center in SF and started last week at Parse which will have a booth... so lucky me!
The team page got updated with my pic/bio yesterday.. parse.com/about/team

9:43 PM
@Fosco Nice

BoltClock's is funnier xD

Hahaha.

@animuson Yours isn't too flattering either: en.seoi.net/yurai/?n=animuson

Remind me to look up that word when I'm done typing in names...
