So I just had my 83 days visited streak reset, missed it by 7 minutes... I don't suppose there's a way to eh.. make it look like I didn't miss it?

@Stijn Would require DB access. Hmmm... a cash payment to a dev would probably do it.

@Pops do they accept bitcoin?

You... might have to check on that during business hours.

> There's still a down-side of tying this to an existing privilege, however: it... just doesn't seem like as much of a privilege. As waffles noted, there aren't a lot of privileges to earn between 3K and 10K on a graduated site - bumping this up to 4K might be a good idea at some point just to help make folks more aware of it. - Shog9
(Talking about the CV queue)
I never looked at it this way - building up some enthusiasm by making it a real privilege might do a lot of good.

Hello everyone! About an our ago from my account this message was posted to an so question "What a lame question! Rtfm noob!"
I have noticed it, because I started getting -1 votes ...
My gmail account wasn't compromised ( I reviewed my account security setting and login history).
I am from a secure WPA2 connection. I cannot find enough information on how to investigate this....
Where can I get some help/assistance?

Heh, apparently our "holiday pay" is just an extra $2/hour on top of our regular pay.

Q: How to investigate stackoverflow account hacking that resulted in answering some question inappropriately?

Aggelos BiboudisAbout an hour ago, from my account, an inappropriate message was posted as a reply to an so question. I have noticed it, because I started getting downvotes. To my understanding my gmail account wasn't compromised (I reviewed my account security settings and login history). I am from a secure WP...

Yes, I know you already know this. Posting that for the sake of lurkers, to show that your pleas did not go unheeded.
@Undo And then I'll never get to it. Ah well, I'll keep on editing. (It's all I do, these days.)

I have no idea what you meant :P
but please tell me to fix it in my post if I can
@TRiGisTimothyRichardGreen ?
@TRiGisTimothyRichardGreen what "Posting that for the sake of lurkers, to show that your pleas did not go unheeded."
meant?
I really had a hard time for the last 3-4 hours to understand what happened and these guys really helped me a lot to figure out the "attack".
Now I got it. You linked here my question for people to see that we figured it out!
:P

Q: Is my friend able to get out of question ban?

puretppcA few months ago my friend signed up for Stack Overflow (not Meta) to ask a few questions on programming help. His questions were a little bit bad and consecutively I think 3 questions. However, I tried to find his questions but they were all deleted. I asked him and he told me he deleted them. ...

Did a spit-take on reading the title.

Is it just me, or does it get monumentally easier to gain rep after the 10k mark?

If the OP of a bounty question likes a shorter older answer over a longer, later answer, then the short answer should get the bounty. But if they don't pick, it seems really weird that in the case of a tie the older answer gets the bounty, rather than a split or something. This gets weirder if one or more votes on tied answers were given by other people in the tie: it seems like it encourages people to snipe unvotes.

@MarkS. It's the most upvoted one gets half the bounty.

right; I was talking about ties, though
in which the oldest post wins the tie (assuming scores at least 2)

Oh, it's the oldest one if both have equal votes? didn't know that.

Q: What happens if there are 2 answers with same highest number of votes when the bounty is expired?

Huseyin Oktay Possible Duplicate: How does the bounty system work? This is a really weird case but I wonder what happens if the bounty expires and there are multiple answers with same highest number of votes? (e.g., 2 answers with 8 up votes). How does the system decide which answer to give the half...

So yeah, it seems like it encourages writing hasty answers (and editing later), and/or people to take back honest upvotes at the last second. I understand why meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/2786 was declined, but if the user doesn't pick one then maybe splitting across the tie would be better. Should I post in meta about this?
