br0wn.

1:16 AM
@animuson -- +1 agree.

1:31 AM
Make it +2

@jadarnel27 Is that a meme I missed?

One does not simply wok into Mordor.

1 hour later…
And what has that to do with "Brown"?

Ohhh. That.
No meme there. I just like saying, and typing, "brown".

But why?

Sometimes with a zero in place of the 'o'.

Because he's jadarnel27, obviously. He requires no further explanation.

2:41 AM
@DanielFischer Brown was my last name before I entered the witness protection program.
(The real story is not even remotely interesting, so let's go with that)

That's what you say.

@jadarnel27 Were you relocated to Mordor?

@animuson I can neither confirm nor deny.

2:56 AM
One does not simply WITSEC into Mordor.

Hahaha

Hi folks.
@balpha - Chat refuses to scroll in Safari 6 on Mountain Lion.

Apparently 'inuit' isn't a valid Scrabble or WWF word.

Hi folks, got a jQuery issue.
Er, or PHP.
Or both.
Unsure yet.

But 'english' and 'french' are. Going to have to bring them to a human rights tribunal for discriminating against some words relating to cultures.
Oh hi @Moshe

3:07 AM
@mootinator Hiya.
Hehe

I have fireworks to go watch now.
Is your issue simple and/or really interesting?

@mootinator I'm generating a JSON object from a PHP array and jQuery doesn't want to parse it.

Interesting.
What does jQuery have to say about it?

@mootinator It said that there was an unexpected EOF.

Interesting. Not sure.
Maybe drop the code you're using to try to parse that in a SO question if you can't figure it out =)

3:19 AM
Of course.

It looks like you're trying to parse a json object using jQuery. You should totally drop that and try jQuery.

Wow, the Humble Music bundle is particularly depressing and creepy. I want my money back!

3:35 AM
/me makes rash decision to upgrade and install new software on server as part of website redesign.

4:20 AM
@mootinator - So apparently I'm running PHP 4.x, which doesn't allow me to pass flags to json_encode.
Requested an upgrade, will see what happens.
GoDaddy: Expect the worst, hope for the best.

4:45 AM
@Moshe PHP 4.x? Wow...
And I thought me being stuck with 5.2 (no closures! *shake fist*) is bad

Though I guess I shouldn't be, I'm surprised that anyone still allows PHP 4 to be run.

5:01 AM
Yeah, that's way too old

5:25 AM
PHP has closures?

It's what the cool kids were doing, so they added it in 5.3

GoDaddy is not the cool kids.

Heh, just saw an episode of Family Double Dare from this 90's Nick block on Nickelodeon...and I'm pretty sure most of the companies that the prizes were coming from no longer exist. Also, the grand prize being a trip to the Best Western by Niagara Falls is just trolls.

Ha

5:41 AM
Wow. Okay. So I've confirmed with both the hacker and Apple how this happened. Was via a phone call to Apple tech support.

@TimYiJiang Huh?

@Moshe A writer for Gawker got his MacBook, iPhone wiped remotely after someone accessed his iCloud account

Wow.

Wow.
From Shanghai to NYC, ETA: Tuesday.

5:53 AM
@TimYiJiang Heh. shakes head

18 hours later…
11:27 PM
Yaaawwwwn.
