10:12 PM
@moot-an object library, like objective c?

@Moshe Yeah, but not objective c.
That doesn't count, obviously.

Well, I'd like to know how to make type insensitive arrays.
I now know a little teensy bit about arrays. Still not sure how the whole thing falls into place as NSArray

10:26 PM
@Moshe Wouldn't that ostensibly be an array of pointers?

I...what?

@TimStone Aww... it's just a normal whois.

Hello All

@minitechη No kidding, I expected at least a ~s/Contact/Nigga/g filter over it.

Darn it... A new blog entry... luckily someone made a bookmark!

awaits a temporary ban courtesy of easily offended lurkers.

@mootinator /ban

@Chacha102 Hiya

@JeremyBanks Did you click through the link? |:
I dunno what's going on with that header, but it burns my retinas.

@TimStone I tried to click on his face in the banner, but it ran away from my cursor.

It felt like 1998 all over again.

I don't want to make my stupid app multithreaded.

It's rather creepy.

So I should probably quit my job now to save the 15 minutes of effort.

10:47 PM
I've noticed a general trend in these Microsoft ads...which makes me scared what the next one will look like.

I laugh every time I see an Internet Explorer advertisement on TV.

Yeah, those confuse me.

IE9 is revolutionizing the internet by being almost as good as Chrome, kay?

@mootinator Hey, whoa. Did you just call IE9 almost as good as Chrome?
I will respond to that with a list.
- Image values
- Text shadow

I'll come back in 15 minutes.

10:54 PM
No, it's okay, thinking about IE9 is making my allergies act up so I'll stop.
IE10 is pretty good though.

@minitechη Wait, IE9 doesn't support that?

@mootinator No background gradients.
And definitely not IV4.

Ah.
I should really pay attention. I put data URIs into a project without actually considering whether we're supporting browsers which don't have that.

All the better for forcing people to upgrade though.
Is it true that some companies force IE6 on their employees?

No no no, they force their captive prisoners to use it as a form of torture.

10:57 PM
Not for any practical purpose though, just because the library being used to generate PDFs of the same content can't deal with dynamically generated content any other way.

Is anybody here running on Windows 8 apart from me?
On a laptop?
With funky Wi-Fi issues?

Windows 8 is a thing people use?

I need help please... :P

I thought we generally agreed that skipping a Windows version was advisable.

@mootinator No, it's a thing people install thinking they can take it off, but then it overwrites the bootloader and they delete their Windows 7 partition in frustration...

11:00 PM
Which means Windows 9 is next in the upgrade path.

If Microsoft sticks with Metro, it is my opinion that I won't like Windows again until version 12.
Or rather, not enough to switch.

I like Metro.
On a phone.

Hmmm, can I install it into a virtual machine to test it out?

Ah. I don't have a phone.
@animuson Yes you can! Unless you're on a Mac. I know @BoltClock had some issues with that.

I think I removed my virtual machine software though. xP

11:05 PM
Is that something I can get from a Technet subscription? I think I'd like to make my eyes bleed now that you mention it.

@mootinator It is free for all!
Agh. I hate Silverlight.

@minitechη Hooray. I see it's linked from MSDN downloads and not Technet. Which strikes me as odd.

Agh. I hate the rep cap.
I hate intolerant people, too.

I prefer to keep the blood inside my eyes

I sort of wonder if Windows 8 Server uses Metro by default. That seems like it would be terrible. On the other hand, you could set up some cool live tile diagnostics on a server and not have to open anything almost ever.
I hate that I have to not work from home to get decent bandwidth.
