This question was first asked in November 2009 and was just edited bumping it back to the front page. It's already got an answer so isn't there something in place to stop it being pushed to the front page? And how far back should we go for edits? meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/28867/…
@tombull89 It was edited because another post was just closed as a duplicate of it. The front page is supposed to show questions that have activity; editing a question counts as activity

I would agree that the text editor should be able to replace variable names with generic names etc, for the sake of protecting code, but this request is a bit much for a request of the SO team.
Two modifications:
Message changed to be more clear
Only 1 comment allowed per {n} seconds; timer reset.
Multiple comment rate limiter reduced from 30 seconds to 15 seconds.
And like the 15 character requirement, yes, the intent is to discourage rampant adding of multiple low-value comme...

I have looked around online for this but haven't found much really. Basically I need to compare a bunch of addresses to see if they match. The addresses could be written in all different ways. For Example : 1345 135th st NE, 1345 NE 135TH ST, etc. Plus they could be in different languages as well...
Is .net-generics really required? Should it be merged into more general generics, with appropriate synonym added?
