Did I mention Gaming's mods are awesome?

Anyone else having problems connecting to the sites at the moment?

Seems alright to me. Any site in particular, or all of them?

All of them.

@radp Why am I not surprised?

Q: Migrate Ubuntu-specific questions to AskUbuntu?

Michael MrozekThere was a comment and a mod flag on this post about possibly asking the question on AU instead. I don't think our previous discussions on this have been particularly clear-cut, so I'm just going to ask directly: should we migrate questions that only apply to Ubuntu to AskUbuntu? I'm going to q...

:'(

I think it might be related to the problem I get every so often where I'm "locked out" of all SO sites after trying to view the accounts tab on my profile.

@ChrisF That still happens? I figured that was fixed ages ago

@TimStone Hurray for PFM?

@MichaelMrozek Today was the first time in weeks.

9:50 PM
@GeorgeMarian Uhmm, I'm not sure. :P

I'm wondering if the problem's at my ISP as I haven't encountered it at work.

heh
PFM = Pure eFFFing Magic

@MichaelMrozek Why are you shedding a tear?
@GeorgeMarian Ah, in that case, yes.

@TimStone Because giving posts to AU is all "cooperative" and "not bitter" :)

@MichaelMrozek I don't have enough "equity" in either site to really care...
I just wish there was a proper way to do good crossposting.

9:53 PM
@MichaelMrozek Ah, I figured you'd consider it unloading questions for them to deal with.
My mistake.

No, they're not bad questions, just more on-topic there. If there is such a thing

Ah, fair enough.

I think I might be getting burninated shortly.

Why is that? :P

@Jeff just added the "faq" tag to the rep requirements compared post, making it unmodifiable

10:03 PM
Ah yeah, I saw that.

so I exploited the other bug and rollbacked that edit.

Oh snap :P

I don't care enough for it to be a faq; while I appreciate the recognition of having written something useful enough to receive this distinction, I'd rather be able to update it in the meantime.

@radp I just exploit the third secret bug to takeover Jeff's account when I have problems like that

I agree. Of course, they could just fix the bug.
Then everyone would be \o/

10:05 PM
@TimStone In which case, I hope they fix the editing bug before the rollbacking bug, so I can rollback my own rollback :P

Indeed :P

New feature in Youtube:
As you might've guessed, "Save Video As..." rickrolls you.
It's okay though -- real men™ use the browser inspector instead :P

@MichaelMrozek I know, but sometimes it lags behind YT page modifications.

> Aweomse! Youtube rickrolls French users with the very funny "This video contains content from Vevo, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds." Love it!
Super pro!

10:10 PM
Aweomse indeed!

I'm confused by all of these people who magically end up with their mouse over top of the question tags..
Is it really that common for that to happen accidentally? It's never happened to me, so I'm wondering if I'm just spastic with the mouse or something.

@TimStone I considered commenting that, but I've been in enough meta arguments lately.
I agree that emphasizing subscribers so much seems stupid, but I've yet to accidentally cause that

A: Bridge the sites

Robert CartainoThis may already be [status-planned] Quick background: We are in the final stages of grouping Area 51 proposals into "Areas." Areas are a means grouping proposals into categories of similar interests: Technology, Sports, Language, etc. The primary purpose of Areas is to let like-minded users c...

@radp Oh, interesting; sounds like it's just a way to add an "interesting SE sites" section to the right bar though

Ah good, so it's not just me then. As far as the subscribers bit goes, that is a bit useless, but not a big issue either.
Note to self: Get more SF rep so that the ads go away.
eyes Netflix Why are you up to $10.20?

10:30 PM
Consideration of the now: SE is a game; hence, Gaming should engulf MSO.

However, since game recommendations are off-topic for Gaming.SE, questions of the form "Where should I ask [question type]?" would be off-topic.
re gaming on SE: Programmers was Calvin Ball. Now it's bridge.

@Shog9 That's a bonus.

10:46 PM
I suggest you propose a migration path from Meta to Gaming...

@Shog9 Irrelevant, now mods can migrate anything to anywhere.

@radp I believe there are non-mod users that can migrate posts

@MichaelMrozek ...not out of MSO however.

@radp Well yes, hence Shog9's suggestion. I was explaining why adding such a thing isn't "irrelevant"

@MichaelMrozek well, certainly it isn't as fun as bothering rchern.

10:54 PM
True. We should stop doing anything and just ping rchern in chat every time. "This post should be edited." "These tags are wrong." "This deserves an upvote."

I wonder if there's a dev option to just add X votes to a post

@MichaelMrozek It's probably in dev++ (scroll down) or regular dev

@radp Oh yes, there it is

I can't recall, what was the "original" join/leave animation?
the one used in the time limited betas

11:13 PM
glares at @radp and @MichaelMrozek

reads Ah, doing work saves me from getting in trouble yet again. Score!

@RebeccaChernoff This message is great. Please star.

I'm sure you'll make up for it. |:

I think I'm a fairly mild offender. :P

> Seventy-seven weeks spent observing cats kept in a veterinary vivarium confirms that even healthy cats will start acting as if they've got digestive problems when faced with "unusual external events," [...] like "changes in caretakers, vivarium routine, and lack of interaction with the investigator." [...] "Exposure to UEE significantly increased the RR [risk ratio] for defecation (RR, 9.8) and urination (1.6) outside the litter box." So there you have it—don't mess with your cat's routine.
In other news:
> Fly poop is not only a valuable research material, but is "actually rather pretty and [doesn't] smell bad," according to someone who works on it. We'll be content to trust her on that.
