11:20 AM
@Derpy I envy him. That took more years to me.

saw the 30 "trailer" for the movie (safe to see, just dates and ponies running in the background. No actual footage)
seems they updated the flash puppets for the movie.
also, due to the alt flash puppets seems they went for the "Piggy Pie" look again, which I am not a real fan of.
obviously, 'Shy was missing from the ads so I don't yet know how they "redrawn" her
about the episodes for S7 - some are worrisome indeed. Not because the premises are terrible (see ... S6 finale), just because I don't really trust the current writers to be able to do such episodes justice.
See for example Dash parents one.

11:39 AM
Even more worrisome is the idea of them giving Fluttershy "a job".
To stay in character they either need an animal refuge shop OR something about knitting (socks). I fear they won't do either of those.

12:23 PM
@Derpy Hasn't she already had a job in the animal refuge and pet care? Let me check out what Milli Vanilli says.
Filli Vanilli
Well, it's somewhat unclear, but it wouldn't surprise me if what she does in the Ponyville Pet Center counts enough of a job.
wait
"Fluttershy is determined to make her career dreams come true with the help of some very special ponies. But when her true vision is not being executed properly, she must find a way to stand up and fight for her ideas."
It doesn't even say a job. It says a career. Caring for animals is certainly a vocation or profession, and might be her career. It doesn't matter if it's a job or not.
"But when her true vision is not being executed properly, she must find a way to stand up and fight for her ideas." Haven't we done that already in S5 E14 Canterlot Boutique?

12:42 PM
@b_jonas I assume that the plot hock will be different.
S5E14 was about mass production in a market that was supposed to be "custom made products" or at leas "original creations"
I think that this new episode won't be about "how to handle the business" but instead another "do not be a doormat" episode.
I expect something similar to this:

@Derpy Sure. Fluttershy is not going to set up pet care centers in Manehattan and Canterlot.
But "when her true vision is not being executed properly" at least sounds like she might get an underling pony that helps her in animal care.
And then that pony doesn't execute Fluttershy's vision properly.
They'd phrase the summary differently if it was Fluttershy herself who can't stick to her own vision.

Fluttershy discovers that either a field or a vacant house is up for sale and decides to buy it to pursue her never-heard-before dream. Hope it is an animal refuge, fearing it will be something completely non-sense like... a grocery.
the building requires renovation, she hires somebody but the hired ponies aren't doing a good job
Obviously, the shy one keeps saying "yes" to any change they want to make because "lazy workers", until she ends up crying out to some other ponies (probably Rarity or Pinke)
In the end, she finds the courage to tell the worker ponies that they need to follow her original design.
so, basically think about a mix of Canterlot Boutique with the Iron Will episode
minus the "too much assertive" part

Dunno. I don't think it's about renovating a house she buys.

There is also a very very very small possibility that the "dream" is something else I had in mind, IF they are really targeting a specific side of 'Shy that some had head-canon.
considering that they said "her true vision is not being executed properly" it could also be that the "dream" is to become a Mangaka.

Any chance she calls in some help from Discord after she realizes the problems?
I fear more of E4 Rock Solid Friendship, because the TV guide description "When Pinkie Pie learns that Maud might move to Ponyville, she does everything she can to make sure her sister sees that it has more to offer than just rocks." sounds like a recipe to write a bad Pinkie episode.

1:11 PM
@Derpy what do you suppose the "very special ponies" in the TV guide desc of E5 could mean? I wonder if it's Fluttershy's parents again.
Or worse, her brother.

1:22 PM
@b_jonas nope, not bad Pinkie Episode. Maybe a "Please Pinke write down "my sister loves me" on your hoof so that next season we won't get another She-doesnt-like-me episode" but not necessarily bad
refurbished maybe.
@b_jonas help me - remember the full synopsis because I can't search for it at the moment.

@Derpy oh come on, I copied it a page before. chat.meta.stackexchange.com/transcript/message/5918545#5918545
(and the title is "Fluttershy Leans In")

1:39 PM
@b_jonas didn't remember the "very special ponies" part - I didn't notice it said that.

@Derpy Well, it's sort of vacuous. All ponies with cutie marks are supposed to be very special, so you can call almost anypony that.
Well, at least she doesn't use only her animal friends' help.

@b_jonas probably they would just have said "her brother" or "her family" if those were involved. Maybe Drew and Jonathan Scott will make a cameo ? :P
Property Brothers is a Canadian reality television series that is produced by Cineflix, and the original show in the Property Brothers franchise. It airs on W Network in Canada and HGTV in the United States. The series features identical twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott (born April 28, 1978) who help home buyers to purchase and renovate "fixer-uppers." Drew is a real estate expert who scouts neglected houses and negotiates the purchases. His brother, Jonathan, is a licensed contractor who renovates houses. Together, the Property Brothers help families find, buy, and transform fixer-uppers...
wait, basically they are already in.
Flim&Flam Real-Estate shop :P
Anyway..
Teacher Twily
Veterinary? Flutter
Wonderbolt Dash
Shop Owner Rarity
seems they are building up future careers for the ponies.
expect a
Bakery Pinkie
episode soon

1:55 PM
@Derpy Isn't that normal? Many adults do that.

(if they don't turn her in a Patch Adams follower, that is...

I don't think she's a vet. She's working in a pet care center, and so does know a lot about pet healthcare, but she'll take the worse cases to a professional vet who's studied in a university for years. You have seen a vet in Ponyville, remember? It was in S2 E10.
@Derpy Why would you need that? She's already working in a bakery. She doesn't need to open her own. Not everyone wants their own business. I don't either, I want to be an employee so that I don't have to deal with a lot of things you have to deal with when you're your own boss.
(I'm not a baker, but it still applies.)

@b_jonas that was the point, they seem not to be focusing on a "character development£ thing. This seems more "wrap up for a series conclusion" thing...
Standard scene "20 years later" that shows every pony now having a job.
