idk if this is a good idea (it's certainly not an easily distributed one!) to use a WinJS/PHP mashup via xhr requests. It's the only way I can use assigned access and get access to the global filesystem.

I already built the PHP-based CMS and I'm now mainly working on replacing the IE kiosk media viewer to better-than-a-webview WinJS app.
Once I get hit the first real release, it'll go open source on gh. I just need a private repo for now to show some people who have questions about it.

@Sam That's what I've just (at least, almost) fixed. What I ended up doing is adding a PHP page that can only be accessed by 127.0.0.1 which copies the folders and creates indexes.

@Sam To be specific, I use Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.current.localFolder and friends to return the path of the appdata folder and jQuery ajax to send it to PHP and wait for the response.
