Is there any profile link of you on CollegeConfidential?

(Yes, but you need to log in to see it. And there's not much there anyway.)

I have seen that tweet but it required me to log in.
What is your new company about?

Yeah. I'm destined to truly hate Vanilla forums.
It's primarily about getting students through the college admission process.
The forum is for students (or more likely their parents) to talk about the steps and about specific institutions.

Cristóbal Griffero CMy old my MacBook was stolen so I have to buy a new one. I have an Airport Time Capsule, so I have the Time Machine backups. Yesterday I plugged the new MacBook for the first time and tried to recover the information and everything went smooth until it got stuck for a few hours, so I decided to r...

I still haven't been able to restore my backup. I think I might need to copy directly from my old laptop rather than using the Time Machine. :-(

@JonEricson the Quack overflow feed seemed rather familiar. For a moment I thought you went into sock puppetry ...
So that will be a copy over the WiFi network then?

@rene Oh. I just realized I could have connected directly to the Time Capsule with a wire. Duh. That will save a ton of time.

I bet it will yes!

@JonEricson That sounds great. I can't quite say "altruistic" because it's a job, but getting paid to help people who need and deserve it is the best kind of job.
Is it US specific, or more international?
I was once somewhat active on a similar UK-based forum, The Student Room.
Good luck with the backup!

@Randal'Thor Pretty US centric. We get an international audience from students that want to apply in the US. But right now its solidly aimed at selective schools and the Ivy League.
@Randal'Thor That looks pretty similar. I'll have to poke around there.

@JonEricson If I encounter anyone who wants to apply to study in the US, I'll point them your company's way ;-)
Postgraduate level too, or only undergrad applications?

@Randal'Thor Both. Right now our content is mostly undergrad, but that might be because there are naturally more students interested in that.

Good, because I'm less likely to encounter people applying for their first undergrad degree.
And yeah, there's always that pyramid: more bachelor's than master's students, more master's than PhD students, ...
