@Martin Still am, I suppose. We have a designer starting on site designs, but the priority is older sites that have been waiting for them for several years. I'm not sure offhand what the story is with MO's design. It's possible we'll take a look soon, but my guess is it will be awhile.

Q: What about temporary design changes just to make better distinction from other sites?

It seems that the most common complaint about the new design is that the site looks very similar to other sites. (Especially Mathematics was mentioned a few times, probably because there are many people who visit both MathOverflow and Mathematics relatively often. This was discussed mainly here: ...

That might be possible sooner, however. I'll pitch the idea of a few tweaks to the team and see if we can expedite it.
