@AnnZen No, you can't.
I was an RO here for a long time, but I couldn't see deleted messages in the Tavern during that time.

@Ann Plus you don't need to give sha RO status 'cause he already has 147k rep here on MSE, so he can practically do everything a regular RO could do in the room, possibly more ;) For example, reading deleted messages is something sha can do and normal ROs can also do ;) P.S. Did sha join the room at that time?

@AnnZen Not so. Max rep-based privileges in chat are given out at 10k rep, and those are far from room owner privileges.

@AnnZen well, very hard to beat a bot without a script of your own.
@SonictheCuriouserHedgehog yes, usually I would. The other users votes aren't lost, and will still show the extra targets. No abuse of power.
@SonictheCuriouserHedgehog how can a vote be overridden? When closed, it will just show all targets. Unless there's something I'm missing here?
@AnnZen rep isn't relevant, even Jon Skeet has no access to powers beyond what any 10k/20k user has.

@ShadowWizardisVaccinating As an example, you see a question with one duplicate vote and three off-topic votes. Had you not had a hammer, if you'd voted as a duplicate, the off-topic reason would override the duplicate reason as it received a majority of votes. On the other hand, with your hammer, the duplicate reason would take precedence, and the question would be closed as a duplicate.

@AnnZen that's plain wrong.
Tech sometimes say things without really knowing if they're correct or not.
@SonictheCuriouserHedgehog oh, thought you mean other close as duplicate votes. Well, this changes everything. Let me think a bit about it.

@ShadowWizardisVaccinating Well, so do I, and everyone else, to be fair

@SonictheCuriouserHedgehog Generally speaking, I will think twice and thrice before doing it. Only if I'll be really and totally sure it's really a duplicate, and not off topic, I'd go with it, as it's an action that go against others and if not used very carefully, can be used against me.
@SonictheCuriouserHedgehog and me too. It's all about how we say it, how sure we sound, and how we react when proven wrong.
@SonictheCuriouserHedgehog not everyone else, e.g. Jon Skeet.
> The only time Jon Skeet was wrong was when he thought he had made a mistake.
